The Frida Kahlo Museum is located in one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in Mexico City, the center of Coyoacán.
The Blue House is the Intimate Universe of Frida Kahlo. In this beautiful residence, the artist lived most of her life; initially with his family and years later, with Diego Rivera. Likewise, interesting Mexican and foreign visitors stayed in this place, attracted by the captivating couple of artists.

Frida wanted to leave her house as a museum, to learn and enjoy her beloved Mexico. For this reason, after his death, Diego organized the Frida Kahlo Museum here.

The museography was in charge of the museographer, professor and great poet from Tabasco Carlos Pellicer, a very close friend of the couple. The administration of the Museum was entrusted to the Trust of the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo Museums,

My tickets were changed from 4pm to 4:45pm. They also said that they would send me the tickets through WhatsApp and never sent them to me. When I reached out and emailed them, I heard no response.

Horrible. Stay away from this service.

Only gave one star because I couldn't give 0 or negative stars.

Visiting Fridas House is popular. It's important to pre buy your admission tix. Do it some other way. Not here.

We bought 2:30 PM tix. But they sent us 3:45 tix and expected us to be happy about. No refunds. In Mex City traffic and transit times matter.. so you need to plan your day. This type of crappy service makes it impossible to use you time effectively. These guys are not considerate of you time.

Stay away. Go some where else to buy tour tix.

Friday house tour is way over blown. It's generally a mediocre experience. Catch proper documentary on Netflix for a more fruitful use of your time.

i was not disappointed after hearing great things. only wish they staggered the visitors better with the set timings. the exhibition has so many personal items you really can imagine their daily life very easily. a very complete account of frida’s health obstacles and treatments also her motivation to create is very inspiring. diego and she were soulmates. and the films are also very intimate and lively.

Worth a visit but not as amazing as we hoped.

Frida's life was quite interesting and it is well worth researching, although the museum itself left some things to be desired. Primarily, the house felt less authentic as it has been renovated over the years and it would have been better with more direct information about her life events.

The museum itself was a great experience. However ,we never received our tickets and had to call in to have them sent. By the time we got there, it was past our entry time. We spoke to the staff, and they were kind enough to let us in even though it was well past our entry time. This is the first time i have had this issue with tripadvisor.

We loved the visit to Frida Kahlo’s home turned museum. It gave us insights about who she was a young girl and how her relationship with her father molded her as an artist. It also gave us a glimpse into her home life, her dining room and bedroom, her studio. We took the opportunity to see an exhibit about her clothing and her ability to conceal some of her disabilities through her clothing. The exhibit about the clothing also showcased the artist public image and her ability to incorporate her political beliefs in how she dressed. Finally, seeing the gardens and the prehistoric art collection completed the details about the artist’s home life.

It’s a beautiful museum and an honor to walk to her and Diego’s home. Many emotions as you see her work, life, and remnants. Very informative and transcendent. Also we experienced a small tremor that is common in Mexico and they had a great accountability protocol and safety measures in order
