We thoroughly enjoyed the whale watching trip. We saw lots of puffins, white beaked dolphins and minke whales. The drivers make sure that they come close enough to the animals to get a good view and we spent a long time with each animal. The marine biologist was knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for an amazing 3 hours.

The ship crew were friendly and helpful. They urged us to suit up for the journey, and I'm very glad we did because it was very windy and cold despire being My 20 or thereabouts. We never did see whales, having learned at some point that we were not searching for them at the right time of year. Apparently the whales had gone to warmer waters. My husband think he saw a couple of puffins, but I'm not sure about that. I liked getting a sense of what it was like to be on the almost open ocean off the shore of Iceland. Visiting the harbor is an interesting experience.

Our first day was cancelled due to the weather, so we rebooked for the following morning.
Team were friendly, boat comfortable. We saw puffins, gannets, dolphins & minke whales. Highlight of out trip.
There was someone from the team taking photos as part of studying the whales. They will send you their photos, so you can relax & watch the wildlife rather than worrying about photos.

I realize you can't control nature but what we saw was not worth the money.
We saw one Mink whale probably hundreds of yards out about a handful of times You could see a fin pop out and that's about it. It's all we saw during the whole tour. We never got close to it.
I've been whale watching at least two times before which was pretty incredible.

We went on the 3 hour trip on 16/5/24. You can never guarantee nature but they definitely try very hard. The boat was comfortable and everything was explained well. Very enthusiastic lady telling us where to look.we were lucky to see 2 minky whales close up. A few puffins and an amazing school of dolphins extremely close that swam under the boat! Very unexpected. Thankyou for an amazing experience

Saw minke whale and some white beak dolphins. Also, we watched the birds above the whale location as they swam and dive into the water.

We were informed in advance, but the activity was cancelled. The reason given was unfavorable weather conditions, but for a layman it was completely incomprehensible with blue skies and only a little wind (on land). Further explanation would have been nice.

Booked the tour in advance for 4 people and then canceled for 2 due to the risk of nausea from the sea. That all went fine.
The boat left at exactly 1 o'clock and it was ready around 4 o'clock. It is a fairly large boat that feels safe. You first sail to the open sea and that takes more than an hour, then you go and see if you see anything. You will receive a card in advance with the whales and dolphins you could see.
Unfortunately we ended up seeing 2 dolphins briefly and that was it. The guide did say that he had seen something else but we had not. So it was a disappointment for us, but that risk is of course part of it, because you don't know whether you are going to see anything.
I think your experience always depends on what you see, so keep in mind that you won't see anything special, then it will be much more fun if you see a whale!
