I have done many food tours in different countries and this ranks amongst the best. The other people (from two different groups) on our tour had all joined because they had enjoyed a Culinary Backstreets tour so much elsewhere, they were seeking the same in Athens. I'm now feeling the same! The tour was terrific - Carolina was a great host, I really appreciated her background and expertise in discussing and sharing her food knowledge. The variety of items and dishes was excellent and I will definitely be visiting some of those vendors again. I loved the theme - Sunday lunch - and the food we had at the two restaurants was an excellent foundation to kick off our three weeks in Greece. Thank you Carolina!

This food tour was one of the highlights of our stay in Athens. Carolina was a joy & so accomplished. She guided us through areas we would not have found on our own. Everything we tasted was delicious. The family restaurant was a look at how locals partake in a Sunday feast. The honey tasting was totally new for us. I find myself longing for the pistachio latte!
Will definitely use this company in future travels. Thank you for accommodating us.

Had a lovely Sunday getting to see the real Greek culture in Athens. Constantine was very informative about the food scene and culture and a dash of history also.
We tried many delicious dishes we would not have tried on our own and it was a surprise to us how much we enjoyed it all. We had a small group of 3 so plenty of discussion as well as food to share. The owners of the establishments were welcoming and made us feel welcome. Would recommend doing this tour when you first arrive as lots of tips for later in the trip.

We spent a wonderful day with Carolina exploring Athens. The traditional food on our many stops was interesting and delicious. Carolina provided information about the food, the Greek culture and history of the area. The whole experience was exceptional with such a knowlegable and lovely guide.

This was our favorite day in Athens. Definitely bring your appetites - we had a large sampling of foods from many different restaurants. We continued to travel across Greece for another week after visiting Athens, and my wife and I both think the best food we had was during this tour. Constantine was an absolutely delightful guide. He was authentic, knowledgeable and very engaging. He provided an insiders view to the best places in Athens and was very proud to share his city with us as guests. This is a must do for any foodie visiting Athens.

Positives: the food at 4 of the 5 stops was really good, and it was a very relaxing day. Negatives: the last (most substantial) food stop was just OK, not great, our guide Kiki did not provide much in the way of learning about Greek culture, and three out of the five stops were sweets and coffee. I wouldn't write off Culinary Backstreets because we previously had an amazing experience with another tour, but this one disappointed.
