We have moved to a new location! We are now located at 820 Olowalu Village Rd, next to the Olowalu General Store on the way to Lahaina!
We are the oldest butterfly farm in Hawaii and the only one that offers private tours of a butterfly farm in the State. We are a certified Monarch Waystation and strive to save the butterflies through propagation, research and education. We’re the only place in the Islands to see live Hawaiian butterflies in our walk in butterfly flight house. Unlike Mainland butterfly farms, all of our butterflies are home bred and hand raised on our organic farm. We do not purchase or ship in our butterflies from abroad, therefore all of our butterflies are endemic to Hawaii.

This was an amazing experience and offered an opportunity to learn about the lifecycle of butterflies and actually touch and feed them. The tour was intimate with just the four of us which provided an opportunity to ask questions - very informative!

My 9 year old daughter loves butterflies and loved this butterfly farm experience! She said it was so cool how she got to hold a caterpillar and the caretaker showed us how to hold a butterfly. ? Loved it and the drive along the coast to get there was beautiful too!

We were in Maui on our honeymoon and this was our favorite tour! They seamlessly cater to all ages, provided the perfect allotment of time in the different areas, and gave tips to capture the best memories. (Take slow-mo videos.)

This was the most amazing place. Our guide was so informative and really made sure the 6-year-old in our group had the best experience and helping her to get some butterflies to come to her. She also recognized a person in our group may need a chair and offered to bring it into the "tents" to sit on. She really went above and beyond. Very much worth the time and the admission fee. Don't miss it if you're ever on Maui!

The tour was really amazing. We had the very friendly owner of the Maui Butterfly Farm as our tour guide. She is really amazing and just so informative. We really loved the experience. The kids really enjoyed the interaction with all the catapilars and butterflys.

spendy but so worth it! My very curious outgoing six year old had all the questions and they were wonderful about answering and engaging with her excitement. A great hands on learning experience. My 4 year old wasn’t as into the learning bit but still had so much fun. 45 minutes was also the perfect amount of time, it didn’t drag on but also didn’t feel rushed. Mom and dad also enjoyed it!

Amazing! I originally booked this for my daughter who is 4 but I think I enjoyed it more than her! It’s a quick to do as far activities, lasts 45 minutes and the farmers market next door is a must! Highly recommend!
