1. Orient Bay
Orient Bay beach is a must-see while you’re visting the island of St. Martin. This beach on the north-west side of the island is one of the biggest and most popular. It has been given the name “Saint-Tropez of the Caribbean”, and sports fanatics often come here for surfing and other water sports. Orient Bay beach in St. Martin is on the Atlantic Ocean side of the island, and the white sand, swept by the trade winds, stretches for almost 2 kilometers.
2. Marigot Market
The Marigot market is the meeting not to be missed to live and immerse yourself in the local atmosphere and in the spicy scents. In front of the seafront and not far from Fort Louis, small Creole huts opening onto the street set the scene for this colorful market. The local fruit-vegetable and spice merchants are installed alongside the fishmongers to make you discover the best products of the island.
3. Maho Beach
A must-see beach in Saint Martin, made famous thanks to its location just at the end of the runway at Princess Juliana International Airport. So go to this beach to watch the landing and take-off of jumbo jets. It is very impressive ! The arrival times are also displayed on a surfboard. Beware of aircraft jet blast. Your towel and umbrella can fly away! You can rent deckchairs on the beach here. Maho Beach has turquoise water. You can even sit on the terrace of the Sunset Grill Bar to watch the attraction. Guaranteed show for airplane enthusiasts but also for the curious!
4. Rotary Lookout Point
Beautiful nature reserve. Very shallow and you can walk to the little island in the middle of the reserve , water looks deep but it’s extremely shallow and only comes to your ankles . Wear old sneakers or water shoes because it’s very rocky .
5. Philipsburg
Philipsburg is the Dutch capital of the island. The city runs from Salt Pond to the beach on the seafront. The port of Pointe-Blanche hosts cruise ships. Stroll along Front Street and Back Street, the two main streets of the Dutch capital with their duty-free shops and typical houses.
6. Oyster Pond
This precious small lagoon is surrounded by tall hills, occupied by luxury homes only accessible by steep roads. The border between the island's two sides runs right through the pond, with the majority of the shoreline part of French St. Martin. This is a self-contained little community with bars, restaurants, and a small supermarket.
7. Sint Maarten
The country of St Maarten is situated on the southern part of the island of Saint Martin. The northern part is an overseas territory of France.

Excellent private tour! Driver/guide made us feel comfortable right away, very accommodating of my wheelchair. My husband is a wildlife and landscape photographer, so we focused on getting opportunities for him to take photos, and he got some great ones! When we got back to port, we visited a shop called Sunrise Sensations to buy some souvenirs for our grandchildren. The owner was very patient with me (we have 8 grandchildren, so I got confused a lot!) Her merchandise is high quality at very reasonable prices. Just stop at the first right turn after leaving the tour van area.

I only have a few days in Sint Maarten and this operator canceled my trip with less than 24 hours notice. They said a relative had a medical issue and that's why they cancelled last minute, and that they won't work for the next few days. Interestingly, the next few days were already blocked off before I booked. I guess there are no other staff working. No alternative was provided. Ruined my trip. Should have gone with a larger and more professional company.

Raj was the best guide! He took us all around the island, the Dutch and French sides, including a stop for lunch at Orient Bay. He is very knowledgeable about the island, including some little known trivia. He must know every airplane schedule because he got us to Maho Bay to see a plane land right over our heads with about 5 minutes to spare! It was spectacular and a must do while on Sint Maarten. We got to watch iguanas eating at one stop. We even got to see a little parade as a preview to their Carnival celebration! Raj could answer every question we had and was super accommodating. This was a private tour, so it was just the 2 of us. I highly recommend this tour!

I came back to SXM to celebrate my 30th birthday with my girlfriends. From the second we arrived (all arriving at different times), Sunita was prompt, helpful and truly a ray of sunshine! And that was not only on day 1, that was throughout our entire stay! Even prior to arrival, I was able to coordinate with Sunita and her son, Raj, on our excursions and their rates so we were aware in advance how much each trip would cost.

Sunita was always available for all our trips, both early and very late at night and was never a minute late. She and her husband also offered fun facts about the island in each of our journeys. They were flexible when our schedules changed and their positivity was always contagious. Their vehicles were spacious, clean and we were able to hook up our phones via Bluetooth and bump our tunes! I cannot stress enough how fabulous Sunita and her family are and how stress-free Sunita will ensure your trip is when it comes to transportation. Stop scrolling and book with Sunita!

Raj was the best tour guide ever.I highly recommend it. You get the opportunity to see and learn the beautiful history of St Maarten.The tour was informative and Raj makes it fun. You really get to see what makes St Maarten such a beautiful vacation destination..We visited the French and Dutch side .If you want history and great photos book this today!!

I actually came with my sister. We are both grown adults. Raj came to pick us up at our hotel. He was on time, pleasant and professional. It turned out just to be my sister and I. Raj was very intensive in listening to all the “suggestions” we had. He was able to personalize our tour. He even took us to places that were better than the ones we mentioned. He also gave good recommendations like Cyndi’s for doubles and other places around the island. We were out all day. Raj was very responsive on WhatsApp, came back on time every time we broke off to do something . He had cold drinks, beer and good cold A/C. He mentioned where clean bathrooms were throughout the tour. He was open to letting us skip some of the items on the itinerary so we could stay at the Grand Case beach longer. We had so much fun we decided to go back to the French side and hang out after our tour. Side note we were in a van for two ppl if you are going to use Sunita for just rideshare/taxi services it’s cheaper per person the more ppl in your group. But we felt comfortable paying more for just us two versus just getting a new smaller vehicle/taxi from the hotel. I would use Sunita Tours in heartbeat.

We really enjoyed this island hopping tour with Chris and Mikey. They were very knowledgeable and provided historical insight about different things around the island. They also helped us navigate through the water as we are not strong swimmers. They definitely kept us laughing the whole tour. I’d recommend this tour to anyone interested in a fun island hoping tour while in St. Maarten/St. Martin.
