Great morning out visiting the Fram museum. I’ve been before (back in 2022) and the interactive weather display was fully operational with the ice room. However, on this occasion the weather on the ships deck wasn’t working at one end of the ship and the ice room was closed and no longer in use. Still, an amazing ship to visit and I’d recommend a break away from the city centre to get out there to learn about the Arctic explorers.

The Fram Museum on Oslo's museum island is a must for any visitor to Norway's capital. The museum is dedicated to the remarkable story of the Fram, a Schooner used in expeditions of the Arctic and Antarctic regions by the Norwegian explorers Fridtjof Nansen, Otto Sverdrup, Oscar Wisting, and Roald Amundsen between 1893 and 1912. However, it is also dedicated to the history of exploration in general, celebrating the successes, but also mentioning the failures. Definitely worth a visit

Lots of interesting information on the polar expeditions. The Fram boat was very impressive. We spent about 2 hours here and we both enjoyed it. The cafe was good aswell not too pricey(for Norway) very reasonably priced and the souvenirs in the gift shop was honestly really good for price and choice especially with how extortionate Norway is for buying things. We went there by bus regular buses and very easy to get to. Would recommend going, it was very good.

I started work with a UK building company in 1968 which the owners named Fram after the boat. I always wanted to visit Oslo and see Fram and did so on Sat 7 October 2023 on my 80th birthday ! A wonderful experience.

We visited the museum as part of a coach tour of Oslo and It was well well worth it.
It consists of a full size replica of the famous ship used by Amundsen to explore the north and south poles and it is very well done.

You can walk all over all the decks of the ship and it is extremely authentic.

The only reason I don't score it a five stars is because it was pretty crowded, but that could have been because of the rain!

I think it’s a good museum for Norwegian boat history, I think if you are interested in sailors, boats and the history related to that then you will really enjoy this museum.

This is one of the best Museums in Oslo. Either travel there by ferry or by bus, which are covered in the Oslo Pass. Walking around the Fram was a great experience. There are many museums around Oslo, this one takes about 2hrs to view all the exhibits.

The Fram is a must-see when in Oslo. You'll learn quite a bit about the wooden ship that's said to have sailed farthest north and farthest south. You'll also come close to experiencing (without freezing) what it was like for the explorers whose expeditions to both the Arctic & Antarctic made them legends.

I visited the Fram Museum on a recent trip to Oslo and I was absolutely blown away. The museum is dedicated to the history of Norwegian polar exploration, and it is housed in the iconic polar ship Fram. The ship itself is an incredible sight, and it is hard to believe that it was used to make such amazing journeys to the Arctic and Antarctic.

The museum does a great job of telling the story of the Fram and the explorers who used it. There are exhibits on the ship's construction, its voyages, and the people who sailed on it. There are also interactive exhibits that allow you to experience what it was like to be on an Arctic expedition.
