Andy was great! With a PhD in history and teaching at a local college, he was an expert in the historical pieces he was showing us. Would definitely recommend.

Jamie did a great job sharing with us some of his top-10 favorites at the British Museum. He shared a lovely amount of detail and knowledge and his excitement for the history and controversies held within the museum was extensive. My husband wasn’t feeling well and had to leave early, but I stayed and enjoyed the tour.

Matilda was amazing. We have toured in many countries. She ranks at the top. She was very knowledgeable, and extremely patient. We are a family of four. Our children are 8 and 11. They were very engaged.

Jake was absolutely fabulous - knowledgeable, sensitive - and really easy to understand and follow. You certainly brought the Museum to life. We also really appreciated how the tour held spots in the the super long queue for us - made it so easy!

The British Museum tour is superb, with Sheldon Goodman as guide, we had a whistle stop tour of the museum's best, taking in the Lewis Chessmen, Rosetta Stone, Easter Island statue, and Elgin Marbles, with a comprehensive history of the artifacts and their journey to the museum. Additionally there were lesser known stops, chosen by Sheldon for their personal significance to him, such as the The grave figures of Liu Tingxun, and Garuda, Kali (which inspired the Rolling Stones logo). Sheldon is well versed in the social and architectural history of the museum and its foundation, and adds personal touches and characters to his stories, for that is what Sheldon is: a storyteller, bringing the British Museum to life.

Ivo was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable as well as passionate regarding the subject matter and was truly inspiring. I would highly recommend him as a critical resource for the British museum experience. We learned, we laughed, and we left with a greater respect for the incredible collection. We truly left feeling more a part of the larger global community.
An excellent, worthwhile experience.
