The guide in Madrid was horrible. He barely spoke to us and was late. He wanted to airdrop everyone’s ticket to me and left without sending everyone’s ticket. Luckily he figured it out so everyone was able to board the train eventually. In Barcelona, Mateo was great but I don’t think the tour was accurately described. We were with a bunch of old people that complained about walking. The day was 15 miles on foot according to my health tracker. Also I thought tickets to Sagrada Familia were included and they were not. We couldn’t get tickets upon arrival so we missed a once in a lifetime opportunity to enter the Basilica. Looking back at my app the very last line stated that tickets were not included. That should be the headline. So disappointed about that.

Mateo was a wonderful guide and was very knowledgeable of his city. He always gave us the opportunity to rest if we needed it. Great bi-lingual guid.

WOW! I simply cannot put into words what this experience has been/meant for me and the group that I was a part of. We’ve all fallen in love with the city, its views, people, food, everything really, and it was all thanks to our AMAZING guide, Mateo Martinez. If you can, ask for him, he is, THE MAN. PERIOD.

We had a great time on our walking tour with our guied Mateo who was extremely knowledgeable about everything: history, art, architecture, local culture etc etc etc. There were only 3 of us on the tour which was a huge bonus. This was a great way to get a taste of the city. We were met in Madrid by Jorge who escorted us to the high speed train (2.5 hours) to Barcelona. The train was clean, comfortable and had snacks for purchase. After a wonderful tour we had some free time and went to the Cathedral (26 euros) and then were escorted back to the train by Mateo. Wonderful trip, a lot of walking. Would be difficult for people with ambulation issues or young children. ( according to my son's watch we walked over 9 miles total) Highly recommended!!

Unbeatable experience. I had a fantastic day in Barcelona, the company of the guide was incredibly pleasant, and his explanations throughout the entire tour were very helpful and interesting. I had been to Barcelona before, but visiting it this way allowed me to discover many new things. The train journey from Madrid was much appreciated – a short and comfortable trip. I would definitely do it again if I return with friends or family.
