This was one of the best food tours I have experienced!! Garen is an excellent host. Not only did we get to try amazing delicious food we also got a history lesson of the country, culture and people. I highly recommend this tour and would give it 10-stars if I could!!

Garen took us to a cool neighborhood that we would have not visited if not on this tour. We tasted different foods and visited interesting shops. Garen adjusted our visit according to our preferences. The tour was the perfect way to experience Taipei with a local. Loved it!

The private food tour with Nicolas was just amazing. Right from the start Nicolas was welcoming and very intuitive. His explanations and recommendations as well as all the food we tried were an experience to be had, especially as it really gave us an insight into the Taiwanese street food culture. Every tasting was delicious. Nicolas really took his time to also explain some of the Taiwanese history which added an extra layer to our tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes to understand local food, shown to you by a local. Thank you Nicolas, you were an amazing guide.

This was one of our favorite excursions in Taipei. Our guide, Garen, was wonderful…so kind and full of interesting insight. We not only sampled a bunch of different foods (super awesome, and we are foodies so we have pretty high standards), we also tried “wax apples” and dried strawberries from the open air market and learned in depth about the temples and how people made offerings and sought answers to their questions. I highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing time on our Taipei food tour with Garen - it was an awesome way to start our vacation in Taiwan. Garen was an excellent host that I would highly recommend - we had many engaging discussions, had a lot of fanastic food, and learned about the area and Taiwan. 100% recommend this tour and for booking with Garen.
