Jay catered the walking food tour of Paris perfectly to our needs and was interesting and entertaining! I booked this tour for my spouse and myself, along with two friends traveling with us. The locations we visited were great; they were clustered in the neighborhood near the meeting point, so there wasn't too much walking involved. The booking includes the cost of the food consumed at the stops, so go ahead order what you really want!

Anukool was the best guide! He made sure we had a nice mix of dishes (sweet and savory) and showed us a part of Paris wr never would have explored. Since 10 tastings can be a lot, he helped us pack the leftovers for us to enjoy in the evening. To top it all off, Anukool spoke Hindi which made my parents feel completely at ease from the start. Definitely worth it!

First our guide, Anukool, changed the meeting location three hours prior to the meeting time stating "Due to the current shop closing timings near the mentioned meeting point I wanted to let you know about a change in the meeting point for the tour." It changed from 112 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine to 3 Pl. Saint Germain des Pres, a 4 kilometer change on the left bank instead of the right. Then he was 15 minutes late.
We wound up goint to five different places for our "10 Local Food and Drink Tastings" It honestly wound up feeling like an awkward date with three people than a food tour. Anukool provided some background on the places we went and their significance but did so while walking and given there were two of us on the tour, one of us usually missed the information since we couldn't walk three abreast in the busy streets.
The stops weren't tastings as much as they were, "Here is a well reviewed place, pick something to eat and I will buy it for you with your tour fee" We sat at a creperie and ate, well, a full crepe each, not exactly a "tasting." At two confectionary stops the guide just followed us around the shop with a bag while we picked out treats.
On our walk around we passed, and the guide gave the history of, the Marché Alimentaire Saint-Germain produce market, which was open, but we didn't walk through it. Which felt like a big missed opportunity.
At the last place we ordered a charcuterie platter and we wound up listening to his life story instead of details about the food scene in Paris. He has apparently been a tour guide for many years. That did not come across.
The tour ended 30 minutes early because we wound up at the last place sooner than he planned and he didn't have additional places lined up to visit. At that point we didn't want to waste any more time so we didn't ask him to take us anywhere else.

Anukool was a terrific host/guide. Our adventure started with a lost phone and he helped us to communicate with the driver, since our French was limited.
Our tour started at this well known bakery, where we enjoyed a sweet treat and a coffee. We then stopped at a cute market, where we were able to sample cheeses, tapenades and breads.
From there we had a scrumptious dessert and then went to an establishment where we tried local meats alomg with a cocktail.
Anukool's knowledge of the area and foods were vast and thoroughly enjoyed our tour!

While our guide was very nice it was not a set tour like I have previously done. I would definitely recommend doing 10 vs 6 unless you are extremely short on time and going earlier versus later in the day.

I am giving this tour a unfavorable review with a caveat. I read so many great reviews about the tour guides and how helpful and interesting their guides where. So I was really looking forward to my tour. I initially scheduled this particular tour because of the reviews but also because the starting point was close to the hotel that I was staying at. The night before our tour I was contacted by our guide who asked me where I wanted to go for my tour. I was a little confused because this being my first time in Paris, I wasn't familiar with any of the areas. He gave me some options that didn't give me any valuable information so I suggested meeting somewhere close to my hotel location because we would be walking. I also mentioned that I was interested in some history of Paris. He made a suggestion of where to meet. The next morning when I spoke to my hotel concierge, they told me that the meeting location was quite far away and we would need a taxi. So after a 50$ taxi ride, we met our guide who first informed us that he wasn't a "professional guide" so we need to let him know what we wanted to see. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but don't you typically hire someone to show you areas of interest if you are a tourist? If I knew what I wanted to see I would have done the tour myself. He then informed us that we needed to be mindful of our 23$ budget per person. We certainly had enough to eat for the time of day that scheduled our tour but it seemed a little tacky to let us know we had a budget. We split most of the items that we purchased. Some breakfast sweets, warm wine and a crepe so we were able to stay in our budget and felt for a brunch time walk that we had enough to eat, but the guided tour was less than interesting. I should also mention that our guide was ill with cold symptoms and was coughing and sneezing all over everything. I wish now that we would have ended the tour early but I kept hoping that the tour would improve based on all the great reviews. I will say that if we would have had a more "Professional(?) " tour guide we may have had a better experience. My learning from this tour was to see if requesting a specific guide before booking would be an option for any future tours that I may take.

Tour guide was over 15 minutes late and compared to other tours this fell flat. For my other tours my guides knew all about the food and restaurants. On this tour it was just go to a nearby eatery and pick what you want to eat while learning nothing about the food or the restaurant. There are better and cheaper tours than this.

We met Alpha near our airbnb - which was not her usual location - but it worked out all for the best. It was a great tour of an area we had never explored in Paris. We are not familiar with the district and Alpha knew just where to take us. It was fun from start to finish. She is a great host, the conversation flowed. The food was amazing and we had lots of leftovers for later in the day. The history, the market, the food - all great. In fact we couldn't find cafe creme anywhere else in France or Spain that matched the wonderful one we had at our first stop. Alpha was really fun to hangout with for 3 hours - and we would highly recommend this tour for any visitors to Paris.
