We had such a great time. The tour company invited us to attend a tasting at no charge in addition to the cooking class. We just arrived in Rome so sadly we could not attend. As tired as we were from our travels this class and food did not disappoint. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly attentive and our tour guide was the most beautiful person. I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed it. The wine and pasta (even though we made it) were amazing!

Loved, loved this experience! So fun! Learned so much from everyone involved - from types of balsamic vinegar to truffles to pasta making techniques! Thank you for an amazing afternoon! Would love the recipes we used to take home!

The restaurant contacted me the day before to confirm the class. That was great for me because I took a wrong turn walking to it and ended up in the complete opposite direction. They were very good when I contacted them to let them know I was lost but was still coming. Once I arrived, they showed me to my place and offered water and a glass of wine. I only missed how to make tiramisu, so not a big deal. To make the pasta, we were given a little bowl with the flour, and an egg and they added the olive oil. They showed us how to work the dough and get it ready for the pasta roller machine. They walked around to make sure we were all doing it correctly. Once our dough was done and cut, it went on the big tray to cook later. The gnocchi dough was made while we watched, but we were all given a small amount to roll and cut. Once that was done, again, onto a tray to cook later. With more water and wine, we went to sit on the outside patio for our meal. We were asked if we wanted to watch the chef prepare the food and of course, we jumped at the chance. What is the point of learning how to make it if we don't know how to cook it properly? We had big portions of both the pasta and gnocchi, with a different sauce for each. Our individual tiramisu finished the meal as well as great conversations with the people we spent the afternoon learning and cooking with. I have no regrets about attending this cooking class.

This booking was done "last minute" because our other tour was canceled 6 days prior to the event. The class size was 12...too much for one person to handle.
The room was hot with poor air circulation and could have been laid out better.
The chef spoke too quietly and seemed to speak about a lot of things other than the cooking class...for about 45 minutes. He wasn't really entertaining and spoke in monotone.
This made the experience about 4 hours long...not the 3 hours as planned.
Making Tiramisu was good enough...I was ok with it but the instructions were difficult to hear. He made the ingredients off to the side and we got to scoop our own bowls.
My wife and 2 adult children complained from start to finish about...the room being too hot, no aprons provided, no mandatory washing of hands prior to starting, inability to hear.
When we made pasta...we prepared our own...but it was all lumped together into a couple of batches that the chef cooked. Again, this was an issue with my wife and "kids"...not so much with me. They expected to make and prepare from start to finish. Only made fettucine.
We got the recipes sent to us and we can follow up and make our own another time...so I was OK with it...but my family wasn't. I think the presentation would have made things a lot better of an experience...the content was good enough and close to what I expected...but fell short of what my family expected.

Unbelievable value for our $. Our tour guide, Leila, was so sweet! Very knowledgeable about the products we sampled (yes, there’s sampling before the cooking!) and passionate about all things Roman. The restaurant we cooked at was beautiful and trendy, the staff were wonderful hosts and we even drank local wines, Prosecco and finished off our own cooking (which they wonderfully prepared) with a limoncello. This was definitely a highlight experience of our first trip to Rome!

Raluca was such a warm and funny person, full of knowledge, who kept us entertained for the whole duration of the experience. It was so much fun to make the pastas, sauces and tiramisu. We had no idea it can be that easy to make such amazing food so fast. We are very happy we chose this particular cooking class.

Raluca was our guide and we had such a blast with her. We not only made different types of pasta, sauces and tiramisu, but also tasted a variety of wines and learned so much useful information that we used for the rest of our trip to select our meals and restaurants. Make sure you do this as soon as you arrive.
