Our Night Sky Star Safari is a comprehensive stargazing activity for all. Including a meal at an authentic Canarian restaurant on our way up the mountain and also stopping for an amazing sunset from above the Sea of Clouds, our activity is your introduction to the night sky, stars and the Universe. It includes the guided use of telescopes for night sky observation of visible planets, the Moon, stars, galaxies & more. Join us as we take a safari trek across the night sky with our lasers using constellations and detailed explanations of the science and mythology by expert astronomy guides. While in Tenerife, these astronomy tours are an ideal excursion for holiday makers, taking advantage of Tenerife being one of the best locations in the world for both professional and amateur astronomy. Our aim is that you have fun observing the sky and making it easy for you. We hope to give you as many WOW moments as possible!

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Los Cristianos
Our Pick Ups are from the South Zone only. We have a few stops at hotels picking up and then Drive straight to our first stop, the restaurant!
2. Guia de Isora
We stop after pick ups and a short drive, at one of the local Canarian restaurants. Here you have a dinner and drinks and get to converse with the other travellers on the trip. It's a great way to meet new people with a similar interest as you. Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday the menu is... Canarian Chicken, Fish or Vegetarian Option (with canarian sauces, rice, salad and Canarian Potatoes followed by Canarian cheese and honey. Friday's & Sundays is Chickpea Soup (with or without meat), for main is Pork steak from the restaurants own farm and BBQ Chicken with Canarian Pots, to finish a Canarian Banana. Both meals include your first drink and water is on table as well. (Vegetarian and Vegan Options available any day, also we can cater for Coeliacs) Canarian food is simple but tasty, get an insight into the traditional canarian diet!

After dinner we head up further int the mountains. We will travel through the most recent lava flows on the island and up into the forest itself. Here we will stop for an amazing sunset from above the sea of clouds. With Views of Mount Teide behind us and the lava fields all around us in the center of the Coronal Forrest make a great spot above the clouds to watch the sunset with a glass of cava! We will also take photos and a sunset time-lapse that we will share with you after your tour FOR FREE!

From our sunset spot it's just a short 15-minute drive to where amongst the pre-historic rock formations we will be waiting with 4 high powered computerised telescopes and lasers to explore the wonders of the Universe from our own solar system to distant galaxies! We will use a mixture of mythology, science and laser presentations to guide you through the constellations and use Telescopes to enhance the visual extravaganza that appears before your very eyes as it reaches Astronomical Darkness.
5. Costa Adeje
After Stargazing and another FREE PHOTO under the night skies, we head straight back to drop you off at your hotels or accommodation.

We absolutely loved this trip. The dinner was lovely, basic but tasty and traditional. The sunset part was beautiful and the glass of cava made it that little bit extra special. The star gazing was phenomenal, I've been stargazing before in Egypt but this was unreal and we definitely had a lot of wow moments. 100% recommend this it was beautiful and the guides were fantastic, they catered to multiple languages and shared a lot of knowledge.

There were other groups from other companies there at the same time and they didn't seem to get half the time and attention that we did.

Amazing tour, Craig was very informative and kept the information coming in between stops. Sunset from half way up Teide was amazing and the star gazing unreal, Kieran was very knowledgeable about the stars and constellations, even the wife who is not into this was amazed.

Well organised tour and well worth the money but wrap up, it was cold stand around for a couple of hours.

Only gripe is the toilet situation, basically there is none up the volcano as you’d probably expect, plenty places to sneak off to if court short.

Would do again when back in Tenerife

Amazing tour with an amazing tour guide “Craig” who was super knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. Dinner was at a typical canary restaurant which was good. Sunset with cava @1,800m was beautiful. And then the stargazing up close to Lady Teide was incredible! Telescopes were top of the line for a tour and all the guides were very knowledgeable about what we were about to look at . Also got some hot chocolate at the end . Perfect night with the perfect tour ! See you again

Highly recommended trip. A stargazing newbie and definitely ‘wowed’ by what I saw. A great bunch of guys who go over and above to ensure you have a great experience. Also, an easy way to see another part of Tenerife.

Sunset and star gazing was fab, educational and exciting. Jackets were available as it got cold after sun set. We went for the dinner, not good at all, the meat, chicken and port was dried out over cooked.

Well-organised trip with a number of nice thoughtful touches - simple meal including drinks, cava at the sunset stop, warm jackets, hot chocolate, photos. Kieran and Craig are very knowledgeable and communicate a lot of information in an entertaining way, about Tenerife on the way up the mountain on the bus, and about all the stars and planets we saw. All of the team were friendly and passionate about the night sky. A great trip, thank you!
