We were due to do a walking tour of Tarragona, however it was cancelled because of bad weather. This was an ideal Plan B as we were able to see some of the main sites of Tarragona at our own pace with a built in element of competition.

This was such a fun way to discover Tarragona! We learned loads more than we would have alone and saw all the main sights in the old town/at the shore. We also found the pace to be good - we very much enjoyed the rest stop in Plaça de la Font! The quiz aspect was fun too, added an element of competition and gave further knowledge. Would recommend - a great, budget-friendly way to tour a city.

IF you already know Tarragona well then this may be great. If you’re new to it and would like to learn about the city then stay away. You have to solve puzzles with answers you could not possibly know, and you can’t just skip a task to navigate to the next point. It’s like playing chess without knowing rules. Especially bad if you’re limited in time and just would like to learn about this beautiful city. Avoid at all costs. Go to historical places of interest directly or take a guided tour.

It was a good way to move around the historic city and learning some things about its past. We’re a competitive family so we loved the points aspect. You do really have to have a phone to participate. One member of our family didn’t have one so we had to pair up. It worked but wasn’t ideal. The price and ease of planning this made it a great last minute add to our schedule.

Using the app, we went to explore Tarragona (which is an interesting city by itself), and were amazed by the sights. The explorial app helped us navigate and to find facts and funny insights about each place.
