Surin islands is one of the popular diving and snorkeling point in Thailand. This magnificent tropical paradise has been home of marine life especially the Sea Turtles. For those who loves wildlife and nature, this is a bucket list you should not miss. The tour includes 3 snorkeling points where you may have chance to see rare animals like sea turtle or shark. Also, visit the local tribe "Moken" people who stay on the island.

9:00 hrs. On board the speed boat and heading to Koh Surin.
10:20 hrs. Arrive at the first snorkeling point at Chong Khat Bay. Visit the Moken community.

13:00 hrs. Arrive at the 2nd snorkeling point.
14:30 hrs. Arrive at the 3rd snorkeling point.
15:30 hrs. Return to the pier
16:50 hrs. Arrive to your hotel.

I visited the Surin Islands from Phuket on 2nd January with SeaTrip while the excursion is sold here from an agency. The best part of the excursion was the snorkeling and the beauty of the places. The water was clear and I saw many colorful fish and corals. The islands were stunning and peaceful.
However, I was very disappointed by some aspects of the excursion. First of all, the excursion was advertised as a small group of 15 people(is what I paid), but in reality there were more than 40 people on the boat. It felt crowded and noisy. Second, the price was too high for the offer. I paid 125 euros x pers, while I saw other excursions on Viator with the same company for 80 euros(also other italians on the boat told me they paid 80). I felt cheated and overcharged. Third, the driver was late for more than 20 minutes, which made us lose time and patience. Fourth, we spent more time in the car than on the islands. The road was long and bumpy, and we only had a few hours to enjoy the islands. Fifth, one of the snorkeling spots had a very strong current, which made it hard to swim and see anything. It was not enjoyable at all. Also the program changed as the excursion initiated 1 hour later as advertised.
Overall, I would not recommend this excursion to anyone. It was not worth the money or the time. There are better options to visit the Surin Islands from Phuket.
As a final overall consideration I find asking for tips so brazenly very inelegant.

Really enjoyed this trip. 3 snorkeling stops where we saw loads of beautiful fish. Also visited 2 beaches and had lunch at one of them. When back on the boat we were continually provided with drinks (water or Coke) and lots of fruit. Crew were so informative and cheerful. Bonus of trip was that the captain spotted a whale on the trip back to the pier. He stopped the boat so that we could all see if the whale resurfaced. After a few minutes it did and we now have a lovely memory of seeing a Beluga Whale in its natural habitat. Wonderful.
Tip: this trip can be purchased at many tour stalls and shops and will be hugely discounted from the price shown on the pamphlet and the price quoted by hotel / or your holiday company. Shop around. We paid £50 less than the pamphlet price.
