Sunset & Dinner in Desert Agafay Marrakech with Camels

Very good trip and highlight was dressing up like Nomad during camel ride and watching the sunset in the dessert. The food and music show during dinner was super entertaining and everything was perfect.

A bit of confusion at pick up….largely due to other tours leaving from the same area at the same time. But WhatsApp saved the day.
Our driver was Omar and he was terrific. We were the only two in the van….which worked to our advantage as at the end of the night he dropped us off our hotel.
We stopped off at a Berber ‘village’. Basically you learn about argon oil and have a chance to make some purchase.
Then off to the location for our camel ride and dinner. Quick photostop and then we were there. Had a quick drink of tea. Love the way they pour with a bit of relish and drama. Then time to get kitted out and hop on the camels.
The camels make a lot of noise knowing what is coming. Going up, hold on as you on the saddle move side to side, but once up, all is good. The same for going down, hold on as the camel gets to its knees as you will move side to side. After a couple of minutes, felt super comfortable and was taking a ton of photos. There is one guy leading all of the camels…who are tethered to each other. The other one is checking in and taking photos for you.
After the camel ride, we had dinner under the tent with live music. Dinner was good…definitely home style. Appetizers, followed by a tagine of chicken and a tagine of potatoes and veggies. There might have been dessert, but we were super tired as we had been traveling for 18 hours prior to this excursion and it was time to find Omar and head home. I think that there might have been a fire show too.
This excursion was exactly what I was looking for and this group did not disappoint.

It was good experience! Very nice people. Agafay desert is not very far from the city. Food was nice, I liked the singers. Romantic atmosphere in the camp. We were not very lucky with the weather, no magnificent sunset but still nice. And I didn’t like much camel riding.

Magnificent excursion with a camel ride at sunset followed by mint tea in a Berber tent. After a Moroccan meal and a fire show to end an excellent evening. Warm and caring welcome by our guide Abderrahim Didi.

My friends and I had a great time on this tour. Our driver Abdelkabir was punctual, kind, and helpful in picking us up and dropping us off. The camel ride was incredible at sunset. We also enjoyed the dinner and live music which was provided.

Dinner was very weak and they didn't give us tea or coffee. Neither before nor after dinner...and we arrived early. A warm tea after dinner would have been appreciated.

The trip was great. Our 4-year-old was delighted with the fireworks and Berber music show. The dinner was delicious and the place was very nice. I highly recommend it.

Amazingly well organised, super nice people and incredible value for money!The food was delicious and entertainment that followed was amazing. Overall great experience, would highly recommend!
