Fun way to see the coast. We opted to try this out as we wanted to see the botanical gardens and do a bit of sightseeing. The buggy’s are fun VW beetles converted to a buggy. They are just as the beetle has been forever, rough, bumpy, and feels like driving a go cart. Keep in mind they are a standard transmission, so you have to know how to drive a stick. Apparently some people show up and they don’t realize that. We had some trouble connecting bluetooth to the sound system, but eventually got it figured out. Seems to be related to Apple Watch causing an issue. The tequila tasting was a neat stop, and they had some nice liquors type tequila if you are not a fan of plain tequila. Christian and his crew took great care of us for the trip. We had a small group of 9, which was nice as it was us and another very nice family from Mexico who all enjoyed each others company. Lunch was down at Playa Mismaloya at a beach restaurant. Have the beef burger as it was tasty. They had some fantastic guac, chips,and pico on the table for our arrival which was also good on the burger😉. I suspect the restaurant relies on drink sales to supplement the lunch cost, and make sure to tip well, as they were nice servers. The snorkel tour was okay as there was lots of fish, but the water visibility was poor around the islands. Not sure if this is the case all of the time or we just had bad luck?
For improvement:
It would be nice if they put a sticker on the dash showing the shift pattern of the transmission as it was a bit of a guess to find reverse the first time. Low cost upgrade that would help.
Overall:
Come early to sign waivers and pick a good buggy as it’s your ride for the day! The buggy’s are very different so check out a few before you commit to one. Next time we are back to PVR with some family, we will do this tour again!

We have a great time, Jeff and his crew were outstanding. Just the right amount of time at each stop kept everyone hopping. I would recommend Sunbuggy tours to anyone.

My husband and I thought this was the best way to see a lot of PV in a short amount of time. Don’t think twice about booking this. I wore a ball cap to shield the sun but I loved the open air roof and views! We overpacked (as we normally do). Don’t wear your swimsuit as we didn’t even get in the water and stayed in the boat. Wear comfortable shoes for walking the gardens. We really enjoyed the tequila tour but if you plan to buy any, you’ll have to check that bag on the way home. Lunch was good only because of the beachside location and good company. I think the cold beer was the best part.

The buggies were so much fun. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Very patient with me as I have mobility issues. There is hiking to the botanical gardens and to the beach for lunch so be prepared to do some hiking. I wish I had known about how much walking was involved before I booked but I did have fun.

An all day excursion with a little something for everyone. The buggies were a trip, and definitely not something I could experience just anywhere. The guides were really high energy and hilarious. The botanical garden was breathtaking (I want to go back when there’s more time! Gorge!) The tequila tasting was more fun than informative, but I’m not on vacation to be a student 😝. The restaurant at Mismaloya had great service and a fee free bathroom. And lastly, I thought the boat ride out to Los Arcos was totally thrilling. With this experience, You essentially get 4 excursions for the price of one. Highly recommended!
My one suggestion for improvement would be to omit the first stop at the souvenir stands, that just felt awkward because I was very much not interested in purchasing anything, first thing in the morning.

We had a great day! Driving the little buggies is so much fun! The botanical gardens is always a fun stop (bring bug spray!), the tequila factory was fabulous, and lunch on the beach was a very relaxing and it was a beautiful beach to visit. I would highly recommend this activity as long as someone in your group can drive a car with a manual transmission. The company was great. All of the employees are very engaging and fun.

We just got back from our tour today, you could not meet a more helpful or accommodating person than Chris the tour guide, as were the rest of the staff. The tequila tasting was a lot of fun and delicious and I don’t even drink. Botanical garden is beautiful but wear walking shoes and prepare to move it. Lunch was a good selection and waiting for us when we arrived at a beautiful beach. Cameraman accompanies you and posts free pictures of your group for you to download.

OMG! So much fun driving south of PV in our colourful Sun Buggy. Would definitely recommend if you want to a fun day in the sun. We have already talked about booking for next year.
