1. Stonehenge
Stonehenge Over 5,000 years of history is waiting to be discovered by us at the prehistoric site at Stonehenge. Built on the windswept Salisbury Plain by our Neolithic ancestors, Stonehenge is a site that has courted controversy and stirred opinion for hundreds of years. Explore over 250 ancient objects on display at the world-class visitor centre. Discover the tools and everyday objects of Neolithic life, and come face-to-face with a 5,500-year-old man and ancient human remains. Decipher the mystery of Stonehenge using an interactive audio guide exclusive to Evan Evans. Learn who built it and why, as well as how it was constructed using rudimentary equipment made of wood and stone.
2. Windsor
Windsor is a town on the River Thames in southeast England, just west of London. It’s home to Windsor Castle, a residence of the British Royal Family. Built by William The Conqueror in the 11th century, the castle was extensively remodelled by subsequent monarchs. Public tours take in the State Apartments, which contain opulent furnishings, and paintings from the royal art collection.
3. Windsor Castle
The other stop on our tour is Windsor, home to Windsor Castle, the ancestral home of the British monarchy and the largest occupied castle in the world. As you walk around the impressive grounds, it is almost hard to believe that successive kings and queens have been living here for over 900 years. You'll see why this beautiful castle was a favoured weekend residence of Queen Elizabeth II. Inside the State Apartments, you will have the chance to explore the same rooms used today by The King and members of the Royal Family. The rooms here were intended to rival the Palace of Versailles in France, and paintings by renowned artists such as Rembrandt and Rubens adorn the walls. Set within the grounds of Windsor Castle, St George's Chapel is one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in England. Construction of the present Chapel began in 1475 under the reign of Edward IV. When visiting make sure you look up and admire the stone ceiling, which was added by Henry VII. *entry option

• Windsor Castle is closed to visitors on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
• St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle is closed to visitors on Sundays. On rare occasions the State Apartments may be closed
• The order of the itinerary may change seasonally or for opreartional reasons
• Windsor Castle is closed on 17 June 2024.

The tour startet early in the morning in the centre of London. Our first visit was Stonehenge and after that we went do visit Windsor. The organisation was perfect and our guide has made a perfect work. It couldn't be better for us.

Tour was great as well as Robert the Tour guide and the driver. Robert gave us a lot of great information, insight and great stories and was very entertaining. 2 tours were just enough and we were not rushed. Would use Evan Evans again!

Wonderful day. So worth the money to go to go to Stonehenge before the crowds and go in the circle. Guide was very knowledgeable and had great stories to tell. I wouldn’t have minded the trip being an hour longer so we would have had time for lunch before or after the Castle.

Nice one-day trip! We have enough time to spend around the two places. You do not need to rush. Don't forget to grab some food in the morning and spare time for lunch.

Our guide Simon was so funny and thoughtful! My father and I had such a marvelous time visiting Stonehenge. This will definitely be a highlight of our week stay here in London for my 60th birthday.
