Make sure to eat breakfast. The pours were more regular sized than tasting sized, so after 20+ glasses, you’ll be feeling great. Lunch was delicious and the driver made the overall experience even better. Highly recommend!

Overall, be ready to start drinking at 9.30am.
Best winery was Fairview for its quaint feel and personalized service by our Jaco. You will also enjoy yourself at Gratt.
Tokara winery can be skipped due to the crowd and service delays. Lunch at Dilheim was nice but with limited vegan or vegetarian options.

David was our tour guide and he was amazing. I appreciate him giving a lot of history and context of the area as we drove from Cape Town to all the wineries. He was very knowledgeable. The wineries we stopped at was wonderful.

This was a great experience! We loved the wineries and learning about different wines from professionals. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, on the journeys to the wineries we were given lots of knowledge about the history of South Africa and it was very informative.

2/4 of the wineries were excellent. Lunch was excellent as well. It too hurried. Did not like standing for the last tasting after drinking wine all day!

You will be drunk by the end of the tour. I can almost guarantee it. You begin at 9 so be prepared. Beyond that, it is an excellent tour. The second and third tour were by far the best. My only suggestion is that they begin at noon in instead of 9 am. I usually don’t have wine for breakfast so this was interesting to say the least.

Nothing is worse than your pick up location to be arbitrarily changed late afternoon prior to your early morning pick up. Forced to call Uber and spend an additional $35 each way (total $70).or lose the payment of approx. $250 for the tour. Nowhere to go but up, you say? Late transport (delay caused by individual passenger pick-ups). Lousy guide (“that’s a manufacturing plant on the right.” “That’s the port on the left.”). Hire taxi…better and cheaper.

What an amazing trip - highly recommend! We tried lots of different wines and spoke to multiple highly knowledgeable people at the vineyards. Morne was a great tour guide and happy to answer any questions about wine and South Africa in general.
