Bruce was a fantastic tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and funny. BUT…

I wish the tour company would offer a tour to St Andrew’s without the several short additional stops along the way and back. I’d much rather have that time in St Andrews to explore. You’d think 2 hours and 45 min would be plenty but there’s so much to see and do — and shop! — that we could have easily used another hour there. The short stops along the way were practically useless, allowing very little time (literally 15 minutes) at each. I’d rather have saved that time and spent it in StAndrews.

One other point of contention… I wish there would be a requirement for everyone to wear masks while onboard the bus — or better yet, not allow anyone sick on the tour!!! I had the misfortune of being on one of the smaller group tours in which there was an obviously sick woman who refused to wear a mask (despite her travel companions offering one). The entire time we travelled on the small motor coach she was coughing so much she sounded like she had pneumonia or COVID! Never once did she cover her mouth when she coughed. She had absolutely no regard for anyone else’s health. I just pray none of us on the bus caught anything from her!!!

Excellent tour, private group in a luxury coach made it so comfortable. Very interesting facts and anecdotes given by Jim and interesting bird commentary from Gregor. We saw beautiful countryside, quaint fishing villages and majestic St Andrew’s Cathedral. Quick stop at Falklands Palace was unfortunately cut short due to low light but an impromptu stop to Queen’s Ferry was really appreciated. Highly recommend this trip if you are after a more personalised visit to beautiful Scottish countryside.

We learned a lot and had great fun in spite of the weather. St. Andrews is particularly lovely and Duncan did a thorough job explaining everything.

This was a great experience! Got extremely lucky with the weather in December and had a clear sky in St. Andrews. Definitely a must see if you’re a golfer! Great guide and got to see a lot of small villages on the way to the course. Tour was full of interesting facts about the history of Scotland as well! Highly recommend when visiting Edinburgh
