Take an unforgettable day trip from Paris to the Somme battlefields where the bloodiest battles of World War I were fought. The guide will help you learn about the Great War and the struggles faced in the trenches as you walk on the still scarred battlegrounds of the Somme.
You’ll marvel at the huge Lochnagar mine crater, walk in the trenches at the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial, visit the New John Monash Centre, and pay your respects to the fallen soldiers in Pozieres at the Windmill, the Australian National Memorial in Villers-Bretonneux, and at the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing. You’ll also admire the beauty of the 13th-century Cathedral of Amiens, the largest Cathedral in France. The maximum group size is 8 people.

I cannot commend enough this Blue Fox Tour as it was simply incredible and should be on all Australians lists of places to visit when in France. Jonathan was my guide and he was excellent and knowledgeable in any questions I asked. It is an incredibly moving and emotional experience particularly at Villers Breteneux and the Sir John Monash Memorial site is so well done.

A super informative, really great tour. The small group size was perfect and our guide was so passionate about the subject matter. I learned a lot, a memorable day. Thank you, Aaron, for everything.

Aaron our tour guide made this tour! His knowledge, passion & personal experience was the highlight to our holiday. My Grandfather fought in this horrible war and to retrace his steps was an incredible experience.

Our guide Olivier was great. Lunch was not very tasty ~ but the location compensated for the lack of flavour… otherwise for sure it would be a stellar review!

Words cannot describe the tour. Early start and late finish but one of the best 12 hours ever spent. Olivier was simply amazing. For someone who does so many tours it is amazing how he can still be so energetic when talking about the history of WW1. When stories needed be told he was able to describe events with such empathy and at the same time tell a joke when needed. We highly recommend Blue Fox Travel and their team. As things changed a little here and there they always sent out an email with the change and then asking to confirm the receiving of the email. If ever back this way will let us k up other tour . Merci Olivier and Blue Fox.

Visiting the Western Front site at Lochnagar Crater, Hill 60, Poziers and the town of Villers-Bretonneux memorial sites was moving but informative. Very proud to be Australian when travelling through this region which is again beautiful farmland.

Our guide was Jonathan and he was very well versed in the battle. He took us to several sites, explained them, and then let us explore them on our own. He made some special things for our tour that added to it greatly. Anybody would be lucky to get him. He also has a good sense of humor and is a very good driver.

Our tour guide Aaron was excellent, even helping two couples to locate a loved one in the Somme cemeteries.
