What an amazing experience. The team from Artic Adventures took great care of us, and our guide Fede was fantastic. She gave us lots of information and the confidence to relax and enjoy the experience. Really recommend doing this in winter, now to come back and do it in Summer!

Really cool tour. My wife was very nervous about the suit due to the tightness around the neck but she did amazing and was so glad she pushed through her anxiety over it. The views are great and the colors were amazing. Franchesco our guide was great. We had a lot of good laughs throughout the tour. Great guy!

The experience was once in a lifetime. It was nice. The staffs were super nice and helpful. I think the staffs were the best part of the experience. I wished they had a place where you can change indoors especially after taking off your shoes and stepping on the snow with just socks on. Changing in negative degrees is super duper cold. Like my brain cells and muscles stopped working already while changing.

The swim was nice. It was relaxing. It was still cold but tolerable I guess. There was not much to see underneath but knowing it is a tectonic plate was something worth seeing. The cathedral, bahamas of Iceland were beauties in the eyes. There was a dark hole by the exit which honestly scared me so much but I took a peek at it and I felt brave swimming beside it. It felt like it was gonna suction me. Overall, the experience was nice but you have to brave the cold. I did it during winter so it was -7 on the outside and the water was 2 degrees Celsius when we swam. It was mad cold. I am feeling cold just thinking about it now. Lol but I had fun. It was an experience which will serve as one of my bragging rights. Lol

So I had pick up and drop off. Everyone except for the actual dive guide were amazing.
The first issue is that the team expects you to change in the outdoors in the freezing national park despite having trucks labelled as changing rooms. The guide Fede (?) did not demonstrate the oral seal or nasal breathing. She got straight into the water and continued to demonstrate movements in the water, despite us telling her that the glasses were completely fogged (2 of us couldn’t see any of her demo). The goggles were leaking and instead of reassuring me and correcting it, she basically asked if I wanted to leave, when I said no, she told me that I need to be independent, it’s dangerous and swam away. Even after reaching the end she didn’t come to check on me and instead went out to chat up her colleague (James)
The team needs to realise that not everyone is used to the cold or snorkels on a daily basis. My experience with snorkelling (in several locations around the world )has always been amazing.
This was one of the worst experiences of my entire holiday in Iceland and I don’t recommend it to anyone

An excellent experience. It doesn't matter what time of year you do it, you have that many layer you won't get particularly cold. Getting dressed did take a long time but it was totally worth it. The swim itself was very tranquil! Highly recommended.

The 20 minute snorkeling element of the trip was amazing. Swimming in crystal clear water between the tectonic plates is a unique event and the photos taken by our guide were great, but there is an awful lot of waiting about (barely dressed) in the cold whilst everybody gets kitted out.
Initially, we were asked to remove most of our outer garments in the minibus to speed up the preparation process, and although we were split into groups of 6 with a very good safety diver/guide, there were almost 30 people participating in total and as there are no covered changing facilities (completely understandable due to National Park rules) we were exposed to the elements for a long time.
Fortunately the weather was dry, but it was still very cold and windy for the hour or so it took us all to get kitted up and briefed.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience - but given the (obvious) mountain location and logistical issue of getting novices of all shapes and sizes suited up I think the experience would be improved if the groups/parties were smaller or at least staggered to reduce waiting around.

This experience was beyond our expectations. Our guides Mino and John (Yussuf?) were amazing. Mino explained what we were going to do in a calm, humorous and convincing way. We are very familiar with the water (scuba divers) but had never worn a dry suit. That in itself was an experience. From the time we stepped into the water I was at ease and enjoyed the underwater scenery. I didn't want to leave!!
The company itself has amazing public relations. Before we left I had some questions and they were prompt in replying. And we don't want to forget our bus guide "Mitch".... we enjoyed his knowledge and conversations. Would do this again in a heartbeat

This trip was poorly organised from the very start when the pick up bus arrived late. I few points should be made clear before booking this experience like bringing thin under layers which will act as a base under the dry suit. Also there are hight restrictions which were not clear at all when a booked. The dry suits are massive so anyone under 5ft will struggle to find a dry suit that fits them properly. My dry suit was massive so i did struggle with the snorkelling when i finally entered the water after lots of waiting around. The instructor Fede was helpful at first but after a while she left me to fend for myself even though i was clearly struggling. As a small group of six i would have thought she would have stayed with the group while we snorkelled, She just left as. To sum up the experience involved a lot of effort putting on a dry suit is not easy. You are in the water for a maximum 30 mins and all you see is colourful rocks.

Great experience. Not as cold as expected. Thermal and dry suits keep you comfortable. Guide was experienced diver and very helpful in and out of water.
