If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.
This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

We really enjoyed the tour and Captain Jenn. I would highly recommend the tour with this company as they were on time at the meeting location, we had a nice 15-20 boat ride to the snorkel location, snorkeled for about 1 hours, had a nice snack tray and refreshments available for us. All the needed equipment was included as well.

The snorkeling in the beautiful reef and lagoon was a lot of fun, and we were lucky to spot 3 whales, one of whom breached quite close (about 300+ feet away). Shelly's history lesson and humor were quite illuminating, including Capt. Cook's tragic end, lava tunes, caves, etc. Thank you!

Fantastic snorkeling in clear water with lots of amazing fish. We had a great time and boat driver/tour guide was friendly and informative. We all felt very safe and as he moved the boat around at a safe distance from where we were snorkeling so that he could see us and offer assistance as needed. Only down-side was that we were unable to get out of the water to look at the Captain Cook Monument, so we could only look at it from the water and then take photos from the boat once we had finished snorkeling.

Had a fabulous time. Brent was a great tour guide and captain. Would recommend to anyone! Saw a variety of fish and even spinner dolphins on our way back in.

We love Dolphin Discoveries. The boat is fast and comfortable. My mother was able to easily board and climb the ladder after snorkeling. The guides are kind and competent. They offer a discount of 20% if you book a second tour the same week- but you can’t get that using third party apps. Best to call to book the next one. The smaller boat is nice, instead of the big cattle boats. This kind of boat doesn’t slam so hard into the waves and is smooth.

Shelly was an outstanding guide. He gave us over an hour to snorkel and was knowledgeable and accommodating to our groups interests. We had an amazing time and are wanting to come back to do the night manta ray tour. We saw dolphins, a humpback whale and lots of fish as well as a manta ray on our way back in. Highly recommend this tour! A must do while in Kona.
