Travel west to Snæfellsness on this remote journey to the center of the Earth just like in the grandiose, epic beginning of Jules Verne’s timeless novel. Journey back to a land possessing a myriad of secrets waiting to be discovered. Ancient, mangled lava fields unveil the stresses and destruction these lands once endured. Twisted, crippled, and bowed volcanic rock possessing incredible shapes and forms flare up from the earth, creating an impressive sight to behold. The tour lasts for 11 hours and includes a professional, English-speaking guide.

Nothing wrong with the tour guide or bus. The tour itself is too much time spent on a bus. Fine if you are happy to but 8hrs plus spent on a minibus is too much for me to enjoy the day.

Having seen everything we wanted to see we booked this tour to fill a day. We were not disappointed, This was the best tour of our holiday, the scenery was breathtaking. Denis, our guide was excellent and made sure we got the most out of every stop. This was a small group tour and they are so much better than the big coach tours.

I actually had booked a different tour with Bus Travel Iceland, the volcano hike. The day before the hike they contacted me through e-mail because they had to cancel the tour due to the weather. In the same e-mail they offered me to choose from about 5 other tours I could do on that day or to get a refund. Since I was in Iceland to see as much as I could I decided to go on the tour to Snaefellsnes, which was a bit more expensive than the one I originally had booked, but they said I didn't have to pay the difference because of the cancellation of the other tour. The tour with Dooley was great. He is a very good driver and we saw loads of stuff. It's just important to be aware that it's gonna be quite a long day with a lot of driving, the whole day tour took about 11 hours. Since the bus was only half full it was very comfortable though.
Thank you for this great experience. No complaints.

Karol (Karel?) was an amazing tour guide. The forecast initially looked bad for weather, he went out of his way to make a stop to make sure we could purchase food because the designated stop for food was snowed in. He was very informative and also is a very cautuous and safe driver. He shared a wealth of information and enlightened us of a ton of local superstitions and folklore, as well as the scientific background of the landscapes we were seeing. If you are booking this tour, I recommend you ask for Karel/Karol, apologies as I do not know the proper spelling of his name.

Fantastic trip with a very knowledgable local guide, Runar. Minibus was the best way to do this and we made frequent sightseeing and photo stops in an incredible landscape. Managed to avoid big crowds and had plenty of time to walk and explore. Long day but well worth the fee.

Tony out guide was awesome! Very professional. The tour is a very long day but worth it! Plan appropriately for food for the day, as the stops are brief.
