Take a tour from Florence with a difference - by vespa scooter! It's a fabulous way to tour the Chianti region of Tuscany with beautiful vineyards and rolling hills. An exciting alternative to conventional tours, this Chianti Scooter Tour gives you access to country roads so you'll discover more corners of this world-famous wine producing region of Italy. Ride through the hillside of Tuscany on a Vespa scooter and soak up the sights, smells and sounds.
The ride, along scenic country roads will offer splendid views of the rolling hillside, vineyards and olive groves, little medieval churches and ancient wineries. Some stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way.
You will visit a famous winery, producing some of the most appreciated Chianti wines, and a boutique winery, learning their approach on wine making and tasting their delicious wines and olive oil.
End your memorable experience with a typical Tuscan meal that will be served in a Tuscan farmhouse

• If you want to book multiple vespas (each for sole use with just one rider), please put through single bookings
• A valid driving license is required (although you do not need a motorcycle license), make sure you have it with you on the tour, and you must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 13 years to be a passenger
• Previous experience is not required but advantageous and highly advised. The tour operator reserves the right of final judgement in client participation of actual scooter driving or in client being a passenger, or to discontinue scooter use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner, or on the guide’s scooter if available or continue the tour on board one of our support vehicles (the Tuscany Tuk Tuk or the minivan, depending which is available) if unable to be a safe passenger as well. No refund will be granted in this case. Our first and foremost concern is everyone's safety
• The Single Vespa and Double Vespa tour options entitle clients to ride the original Piaggio Vespas, but Piaggio Zip scooters (which are lighter and easier to ride) are also available (Smaller scooter option)
• A third-party insurance for civil liability is included in the price of the tour. Please note that clients will be given the option to subscribe an additional insurance against vehicle damages
• Please let us know in advance any special need or impaired mobility of the clients, and we will do our best to accommodate them
• RAIN POLICY: The tour runs rain or shine (but please see below). The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain. We will do our best to proceed with the tour, avoiding the rain and thus possibly carrying out the tour with our minivan until and if the rain should stop and street conditions will guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan. Guest options on rainy days: 1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy RAIN Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to get you on a scooter, weather permitting. 2) Rain check (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded.
• We are sorry to inform you that pets are not permitted on our tours
• The maximum load the Vespa can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. No refund will be due
• This tour option entitles client to ride the iconic original PIAGGIO VESPA or Electric VESPA, but PIAGGIO ZIP scooters (which are smaller) are also available (SMART OPTION)
• For the double Vespa two persons are required (1 driver & 1 passenger)

I wish I could give this six stars. Alessio and Haider were great guides. I had signed up to drive myself, but when we were doing "driving school" I could not get the hang of the bike. Haider was so patient in trying to get me to get the hang of it but also in getting me comfortable riding as a passenger in the end. There was also a second fall back of a tuktuk if you truly could not get comfortable on the bike at all. Driving through the hills of Tuscany was just beautiful and we got a lot of time on the bikes. We stopped in a cute town called Greive, then had another stretch of riding, then a scenic overlook, another stretch of riding and then dropped the bikes of and had a 2 minute bus ride to the vineyard which was charming and we had a lovely lunch and wine and olive oil tasting. It was an absolutely beautiful day.

This was such a fun experience and our tour guides, Antonio and Yo, were so informative and fun. My husband and I chose to share one Vespa and it was unforgettable. The views were incredible and the dinner at the end was so delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Florence who wants to see the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

Yo and Sebastian were our tour guides. They were amazing. They were very careful and safe and were great teachers and tour guides. My husband and I were on a double Vespa and we felt very safe considering the roads had both cars, bikes and motorcycles traveling along with us on the country roads. We loved the tour start to finish. The guides gave us history and were very organized. The trip started with a bus ride to the teaching location, where we all practiced prior to driving on the roads. We went through a few Tuscany towns where we stopped for some photos and a snack. We then returned and went to a beautiful winery, Diadema, where we were given a tour of the wine making process, a beautiful lunch, which was specially made for me with a gluten ( celiac) allergy and then a wine and olive oil tasting. The day was fantastic! I would say it was a highlight of our trip to Italy and Florence.

Haider, Frederica, Yu and Christian the bus driver were awesome! I highly recommend this tour! This is a great way to see the Tuscany countryside and vineyards! They are all about safety!! It would have been awesome to be able to stop at some of the incredible views to take pictures, but not sure if the roads permit.

We are so glad that this was the excursion that we booked for our time in Florence. Big thank you to Haider, Alessio and Cristiano for an incredible day yesterday. There was more than enough time to drive our Vespa around the Tuscan hills — totally worth it. Breathtaking views and Haider shared plenty of knowledge (and jokes) on this history of Florence. Memorable day!

Haider, Lorenzzo, and Cecilia were hands down the best tour guides we have ever toured with. There are no words to describe how much they made the tour. Touring with them made you feel like you are just hanging out with long life friends. The old village we visited “Greve” was stunning, wine tasting and pasta dinner were amazing.
Thank so much for an experience of a life time.

Can’t recommend this enough! We did the 9am tour, and it was perfect! Antonio and Yo were such fun, informative, and entertaining tour guides, and the vespas were a thrill! I was a first timer with my mom as a passenger, and was able to get around with no issues! Driving around the unbelievably beautiful countryside of Tuscany was such a memorable experience! From start to finish, this tour was a 10/10. Thank you Yo, Antonio, and Giacomo for such a wonderful day! It went too fast!
