Take a tour from Florence with a difference - by vespa scooter! It's a fabulous way to tour the Chianti region of Tuscany with beautiful vineyards and rolling hills. An exciting alternative to conventional tours, this Chianti Scooter Tour gives you access to country roads so you'll discover more corners of this world-famous wine producing region of Italy. Ride through the hillside of Tuscany on a Vespa scooter and soak up the sights, smells and sounds.
The ride, along scenic country roads will offer splendid views of the rolling hillside, vineyards and olive groves, little medieval churches and ancient wineries. Some stops for photo opportunities will be made along the way.
You will visit a famous winery, producing some of the most appreciated Chianti wines, and a boutique winery, learning their approach on wine making and tasting their delicious wines and olive oil.
End your memorable experience with a typical Tuscan meal that will be served in a Tuscan farmhouse

• Minimum age is 18 years
• If you want to book multiple vespas (each for sole use with just one rider), please put through single bookings
• A valid driving license is required (although you do not need a motorcycle license), make sure you have it with you on the tour, and you must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 13 years to be a passenger
• Previous experience is not required but advantageous and highly advised. The tour operator reserves the right of final judgement in client participation of actual scooter driving or in client being a passenger, or to discontinue scooter use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner, or on the guide’s scooter if available or continue the tour on board one of our support vehicles (the Tuscany Tuk Tuk or the minivan, depending which is available) if unable to be a safe passenger as well. No refund will be granted in this case. Our first and foremost concern is everyone's safety
• The Single Vespa and Double Vespa tour options entitle clients to ride the original Piaggio Vespas, but Piaggio Zip scooters (which are lighter and easier to ride) are also available (Smaller scooter option)
• A third-party insurance for civil liability is included in the price of the tour. Please note that clients will be given the option to subscribe an additional insurance against vehicle damages
• Please let us know in advance any special need or impaired mobility of the clients, and we will do our best to accommodate them
• RAIN POLICY: The tour runs rain or shine (but please see below). The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain. We will do our best to proceed with the tour, avoiding the rain and thus possibly carrying out the tour with our minivan until and if the rain should stop and street conditions will guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan. Guest options on rainy days: 1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy RAIN Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to get you on a scooter, weather permitting. 2) Rain check (of the same amount clients paid) to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company. Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain". We ask clients to be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure, to check the weather conditions and choose accordingly. No-shows will not be refunded.
• We are sorry to inform you that pets are not permitted on our tours
• The maximum load the Vespa can tolerate is 170 kg / 374 lbs (whether one or two people, bags included). At check-in, Towns of Italy reserves the right to exclude participants from this tour if these requirements are not met. No refund will be due
• This tour option entitles client to ride the iconic original PIAGGIO VESPA or Electric VESPA, but PIAGGIO ZIP scooters (which are smaller) are also available (SMART OPTION)
• For the double Vespa two persons are required (1 driver & 1 passenger)

Haider, Lorenzzo, and Cecilia were hands down the best tour guides we have ever toured with. There are no words to describe how much they made the tour. Touring with them made you feel like you are just hanging out with long life friends. The old village we visited “Greve” was stunning, wine tasting and pasta dinner were amazing.
Thank so much for an experience of a life time.

Can’t recommend this enough! We did the 9am tour, and it was perfect! Antonio and Yo were such fun, informative, and entertaining tour guides, and the vespas were a thrill! I was a first timer with my mom as a passenger, and was able to get around with no issues! Driving around the unbelievably beautiful countryside of Tuscany was such a memorable experience! From start to finish, this tour was a 10/10. Thank you Yo, Antonio, and Giacomo for such a wonderful day! It went too fast!

Hader, Chiara, Emma, and Mauricio were incredible guides and made this trip wonderful! I especially enjoyed Hader’s skill with making the history of the area fun and approachable and Chiara’s patient instructing style. Everyone was really friendly and seemed passionate to show us Chianti.

We felt so safe with them as our guides. The experience was really fun and definitely made me want to return to Tuscany on the back of a Vespa. I recommend upgrading to the “real” Vespa if it’s available.

Hader is also excellent at photographs, I think he took the best photo of me and my husband that’s ever been taken lol thanks to the whole crew!

This was a great tour. They start out with a quick driving lesson of the Vespa. It is a bit intimidating but it is nice you can practice before riding. Then, you take the Vespa’s about 40 minutes into a small countryside town. It was lovely! We headed back and went to a wine tasting followed by a lovely meal overlooking Tuscany. It was the perfect length tour and I loved seeing the rolling hills of vineyards and olive groves. I would highly recommend.

This was a highlight of our holiday and very happy that we did it. Our guides, Haider, Yo and Frederica were all fantastic they looked after the group and made sure everyone was together and ok while riding, the views were just amazing and after riding we all had lunch at a winery that was beautiful and not what I was expecting. I would highly recommend doing this activity.

My favorite tour in Italy so far! The whole crew were so incredibly patient and kind, especially to those who had never rode a Vespa before (including myself). The views were amazing and the wine tasting after was incredible with breathtaking views. They took us to amazing view spots and a super cute town for a quick pit stop to walk around. 100% would recommend this tour and the guides.

This was an amazing experience, an absolute must do on your adventure through Italy. Great guide Lorenzo who guides us through the beautiful hills of Tuscany. The views are simply breathtaking on your morning ride with a few stops along the way. In the mid afternoon you return the vespas to the start point of the day and enjoy a fabulous meal including wine tasting to lull away the afternoon. I highly recommend this tour and will absolutely include it on my next visit to Florence. If you are not confident to ride a Vespa yourself be honest at the booking in at the office.

One of our favorite memories of our Italy trip! Little did we know it was the last tour of the year & they went above and beyond given the weather. It was just my husband and I which turned a group tour into a private tour really. Everyone involved was friendly, interested in us (at least they showed it!) and welcoming. Haider was awesome, fun, witty and just a 10/10! He went above and beyond for us and we appreciate that. Riding the vespas alone was such an incredible experience. I mean, you have to pinch yourself while looking over the hills in Tuscany since it’s such a beautiful sight. It was surreal and exhilarating (even in the rain!!!) Our experience at the winery was different since it was just us, but the food and wine we were served was great, homemade and delicious, it was much more of a relaxed and authentic experience.They treated us like family! We want to say thank you to everyone who made that so special for us and really wanted to go above and beyond!! Definitely a highlight of our trip.

What a ride! Literally! My husband and I originally booked a vespa tour through Viator that cancelled on us the day before so we found this one on a moments notice. SO glad we did! It was easy walking distance from our Airbnb and our tour guides and driver (Matt with colleague Christina, and Leonardo driving) were great! They were very patient with the instruction on how to ride the Vespas as well as patient with my slow and cautious driving :). The meal at the end was also so fantastic! Matt sat at our table and it was nice talking to him about personal things and lifestyle aside from our tour. He also graciously gave us a tour of the winery and volunteered to take many photos of us at all the places and stops we had throughout the tour!
