Visiting a concentration camp is always humbling, but doing this tour with Eva from Dutch Tours made it personal. Eva is Dutch and the granddaughter of a survivor of the Holocaust. She told us the stories that her grandfather told her and everyone interested or not. That made the visit to Camp Vught a lot more interesting. What happened to the Jewish community in the Netherlands was relived. The camp was abandoned for many years and the majority of the old barracks is now a high security prison, only a small part was left to tell the story... and it is worthy. We have been to other concentration camps, and this one is not as impressive, but visiting the place with Eva makes it worthwhile.

I thought I had seen all of the possible tours for Amsterdam, however, this tour had appeared. I was intrigued. After reading the description including the reviews, I knew right away, I would be taking this tour. The date was available and cost was reasonable.
The day before the tour, I had received the voucher and a text from Dutch Tours about the arrival location and time. The information was very clear.
The morning of the tour, I met Eva at the location. She was very personable from the start. The tour consisted of myself and a family from CA. She wanted to get to know us which was great and then she told us about herself and her family.
As she was driving us to the camp, she begin to tell us why she and her company started this tour which is very personal to her. Once we arrived to the camp, she took us inside of the museum, instructed us about the introduction movie and the museum. About 45 minutes later, she continued the exterior portion of the tour. She was very thorough for the balance of the tour. Again, adding personal experiences.
I am so glad I had take this tour and I would highly recommend this tour. Thanks Eva!

This was a very informative trip. Our guide gave personal family history, which added so much to the prelude of this visit. I walked away wanting to research more about this horrific part of humanity. I cannot recommend enough.

Eva was a wonderful tour guide - her knowledge of the Dutch history of WWII was excellent. Her personal stories gave this tour a particularly special and heartbreaking connection. She invited all questions and she was very kind. The Camp Vught museum and grounds give a snapshot of this period and stories of this time in Dutch and global history that are poignant and good for all ages.

We had a very good experience with Eva our tour guide. Her personal narrative about this visit made it even more memorable. Very dark moment in human history, which we all should continue to learn and make sure it never happens again.

We absolutely loved our tour all about World War 2 in the Netherlands. The concentration camp was sad but very insightful into what the Dutch had to endure. The WW2 museum was very well done and really helped us understand the Market Garden battle and why it failed. The trip to the soldiers cemetery and to “the bridge too far” was a good way to help us appreciate this important part of both the war and the Netherlands history. Our troops our guide as beyond exception. She shared her family’s personal suffering during the war that gave us a perspective that we did not anticipate. It was a wonderful experience.
