You get to see everything in one day! All the main sites in San Francisco, a lunch break in Sausalito, and a walk around Muir Woods. If you have selected the Alcatraz option, you will take a ferry ride to Alcatraz Island in the afternoon for the Official Alcatraz Tour.

8am – Depart Fisherman’s Wharf

8-9:30am – Explore San Francisco’s BEST neighborhoods!
You will be treated to entertaining stories about the neighborhoods and several photo stops.

9:30-11am – Explore Muir Woods
You will have 75 minutes among some of the last remaining coastal redwoods in the world!

11am-12pm – Lunch in Sausalito
Enjoy lunch in the quaint town of Sausalito where you can shop and explore!

1:30pm - If you have selected the Alcatraz option, you will be dropped off at Pier 33 for the Official Alcatraz Tour! For those not going to Alcatraz, you will be dropped off at the same location as your meeting point.

1. Fisherman's Wharf

3. Chinatown

4. Pacific Heights
Offering one of the most scenic outlooks in all of Northern California, Pacific Heights is home to Billionaire's Row, featuring the estates of politicians, tech titans and other San Francisco celebrities (includes Mrs. Doubtfire house!).
5. Presidio of San Francisco
Former military base, now a beautiful park that includes Crissy Field, Fort Point, Lucasfilm’s (George Lucas) headquarters and the Walt Disney Museum.
6. Fort Point National Historic Site
Located just beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point gives you a front row seat to the Bay and is a great photo stop. This former military fortification was used during WWII.
7. Golden Gate Bridge
Declared “one of the 10 wonders of the modern world,” the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most recognized symbols of San Francisco. Simply stunning!
8. Muir Woods National Monument
Muir Woods National Monument is home to some of the oldest and most beautiful trees in the world. Many of our guests consider this stop to be the highlight of their trip.
9. Sausalito

10. Palace of Fine Arts Theatre
Originally built for the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exhibition, this urban temple has become a San Francisco treasure, beloved by residents and visitors alike.
11. Alcatraz Island
If you have selected the Alcatraz option, you will be dropped off at the Alcatraz terminal where you will depart on the ferry to the island. While used as a federal prison between 1933-1966, Alcatraz housed some of the most dangerous criminals of the time, including Al Capone, James "Whitey" Bulger and George "Machine Gun" Kelly. Featuring unbelievable views of the San Francisco peninsula, a visit to the island is essential when in town.

The tour guide was quite personable and funny. He brought a different perspective from some other tours, showcasing different parts of the city that have been featured in films and television, and highlighting musicians that were influenced in some way by San Francisco and the Bay Area. The Muir Woods were simply magical and we had enough time to make it to the Cathedral Grove and back. We grabbed lunch in Sausalito and caught the ferry to Alcatraz. Be aware that if you do Alcatraz, you will end up a distance away from your original pickup location, but it was easy to arrange a ride-sharing service to get back to the hotel.

Our tour guide Patrick was great! He was informative, fun and entertaining! My 13 year old barely looked at his phone the whole trip! Muir Woods is a MUST SEE!

I am glad we drove around the places in the city that I never knew about. Our tour guide, Sully, was a great guide and knew a lot. He provided us with wonderful music that was from Sausalito and we went past the billion dollar homes and found out who lives there.
My family and I enjoyed it and it was a great way to get around if you don't have a car.

Absolutely brilliant and worth every penny! We did the Alcatraz experience on top and I completely recommend doing this!
We would’ve liked a little longer in Muir Woods but this whole experience was absolutely fantastic. Patrick was brilliant and brimming with knowledge and a really great driver, and fantastic recommendations! Thank you so much!!

Jake was a great tour guide. He gave us the history of San Francisco as well as current details about the city. Seeing the golden gate on a clear day was amazing. Visiting the Muir Woods was an awesome experience seeing the size of the coastal redwoods. Lunch in Sausalito was fantastic (we ate at the Venice sandwich shop). Then finally the trip to Alcatraz was easy as he drops you right where the boat boards. Would recommend this trip to any visitor.
