While spending your vacations in Sorrento or Naples, do not miss a full day tour to Capri. The tour was great in all aspects by Mickelle (spelling?) of Capri, AnaCapri, and what a breathtaking ride from the boat ride although as a family we're expecting to go to the Blue Grotto which ended up with Plan B which is a-ok anyhow. Great trip and what a funny captain of the ship we had and his skill to work the boat was exceptional and talk while he's explaining the details of the rock formations, kudos to him.

Our guide was fantastic and very strategic about our tour. We moved ahead of the crowds. We got to the Blue Grotto early and had NO wait. The sailor who rowed our boat sang in the grotto--an incredibly beautiful moment! We had a delicious pasta lunch in Anacapri. Our guide serenaded us on the bus. Such a memorable experience!

I had booked this tour on Valentines for my wife and wanted it to be perfect, I picked the small group max 8 people tour, with Jet-foil transfer and Blue Grotto experience. £380 for two of us. This did not include hotel pick up so we paid 25 euros to get to the meeting point on time only to wait in a crowd for the Capri ferry, for around 40 minutes (photo 1).
Luigi our guide was excellent, informative and we were given stickers for his tour along with a similar number of guests, that would have a different guide. Approx 30 people in total. We proceeded to board the normal ferry which didn't feel special at all.
The Blue Grotto is a cave where the low entrance creates a stunning blue water effect. The 'sailors' who row you into the cave, burst into song and the whole experience lasts for around 10 minutes. Luigi informs us that 5 euros is the normal tip but we don't have to pay, of course we all do, Life is hard for the sailors as Capri is expensive. mmm.
We then went to Anacapri to the Monte Solare chairlift which is exhilarating and takes you to the summit and 360 degree view of the whole area. We were very fortunate that it was a perfect sunny and clear day and the views were breathtaking. 14 Euros each and another Euro to visit the loo, but well worth it. Luigi had given us 2 hours to explore on our own , so we returned to Anacapri and wandered around the shopping area.
Luigi then offered us the treat of a small boat trip around the island. There were around 15 people on the boat. But for this pleasure, Luigi asked us for a further 25 Euros each. We all had a further hour in Capri and then onto the boat with Simply stunning scenery and an informative guide to the various caves. Back to the port and around a half an hour to catch the ferry back to Sorrento.
Capri is a very beautiful Island, and we were very fortunate to visit on a perfect weather day. My review is based on the feeling that throughout the day from the start I felt the tour operator and Viator misled what was included, the same tour was booked by others in the group for over £100 less. I would not recommend this booking route in the future.

What a wonderful day exploring Capri!! It’s such a beautiful island with a relaxed vibe. We loved Anacapri and the funicular ride to the top, the views are breathtakingly spectacular!! The boat ride around the island was also lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering Capri and the gardens too - we will definitely go back!! Fantastic tour!

We had a great enjoyable trip from Sorrento to Capri and our guide Georgio made it very comfortable for us. He is a native of the island and gave us good details and background. We could not visit the blue grotto due to bad sea conditions which we knew is a hit or miss even during peak summer months. However, the boat tour around the island instead was enjoyable as well. Then we were taken to Anacapri and Capri tours and it was great as well. Highly recommend the chair lift was you can get wonderful views getting up there. It can get a bit chilly up there in the winter months, so dress appropriately. Most shops were closed in Capri due to winters but recommended visiting the local perfume brand shop Carthusia. Also our guide in Sorrento, Marcella, who set us up for the boat ride to Capri was great and provided us tips on the ride and Capri that were helpful.

Alberto was an exceptional tour guide. Capri was stunning (of course) but this guide MADE the trip. He was clear with instructions, itineraries, meeting points but it was his personal touches that made me come back and write this review nearly a month later. I have since been on 3 tours in other Italian cities and all other tour guides have fallen short by comparison.
A great tour guide is the difference between visiting a city and EXPERIENCING a city. And Alberto is knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and engaging. Needless to say, Capri was an incredible experience.
Book this tour and any other he offers.

We have Alberto is our guide. He’s great & the tour is perfect. We have time together when he explains the history of Capri & recommended things for us to do. All meetings & excursion is well executed!
**we couldn’t go inside the blue grotto because the wave was insanely rough but they sub us the water boat ride visiting all other grottos—white, green & blue.
*hope you get Alberto but I’m sure they all good.
