Kenny greeted us and was very polite. He explained the tour well and gave us some suggestions for lunch at Jiufen. The rain was quite heavy at times and Kenny is always at the door with umbrellas ready for use. Overall, a nice trip and Kenny was a great driver keeping all of safe.

Fun trip to see different things outside of Taipei. The guide/driver was professional and gave us ample time for each locations. The guide also gave us recommendations for good photos, food, and any other requests we had at the different stops.

The locations were interesting, though we went on a bad day with rain so it was hard to get great pictures. But it has peaked my interested and I will definitely go to the locations again.

Our driver and tour guide Martin was absolutely wonderful- kind, helpful, and generous with his time and attention. He chaperoned us through the busy Juifen streets, helped with umbrellas when it drizzled, helped order lunch when we couldn’t figure out the language, and even found us a spot to rest our feet at a shop when the climb had us panting! His quiet caring was the cherry on the private trip that we could take at our own pace.

Yehliu Geipark was great: the ocean, the rocks… impressive! The other places were also very beautiful although Jiufen was a bit touristy. The driver was very nice: he drove very well and explained where we would go. We booked a mandarin driver but he tried to speek English!

Great views of the sea at the Geopark. Walking through lanes in Jiufen, and trying local food there was quite an experience.

Great tour guide and his vehicle was clean . He was very attentive to our trip schedule. He constantly texted us to remind us when to meet up. We fully enjoyed our day . Thank you John! You are an amazing tour guide/ driver.

We had a great tour of all the sites. John Chang was on time and explained how to get the most out of each site we visited. He also helped us take lots of photos. We seemed to be about 10 minutes ahead of the rush so it is good to try and leave Taipei before 8:15. The van was comfortable and the driver was excellent.

My wife and I signed up for English speaking tour which cost $90 per person. A Mandarin speaking guide was available for $40 per person, which I felt was a bit discriminatory but we went ahead with the booking. Upon arrival, our guide spoke very limited English and was not conversational. You can tell he was not comfortable speaking English. Because I am ethnically Chinese and can speak limited Chinese, I was able to communicate and learn more about history in the region. The stops were terrific and we especially loved the lantern festival. Overall, we very much enjoyed our day however, we would have paid for the Mandarin speaking guide and saved $100 USD If we had known how limited the driver’s English was. My wife does not speak Mandarin at all so I was translating for her the entire time. As an aside, I’m going to reach out to Viator and request a partial refund.
