Here’s the very best of Victoria’s wildlife experiences. The Penguin Parade is an absolute ‘must’ on every visitor’s itinerary, but this tour gives you so much more.

First stop is Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park, where you can get up close to wallabies on the wallaby walk (you may see little joeys peeking out of their mothers’ pouches). Enjoy a ranger providing unique insights and information during the daily koala presentation.

Then we travel on to the spectacular Cape Woolamai Surf Beach. Located on the southern coast of Phillip Island, this beach is exposed to the ocean swells and the surf here is truly impressive. It's also not uncommon to see dolphins or seals swimming in the waters just off the beach.

We also visit the Nobbies and Australia’s largest Fur Seal colony at Seal Rocks. Finally, the ultimate attraction: hundreds of Little Penguins emerging from the ocean and waddling across the beach to their sand dune burrows.

This was SUCH an incredible excursion! Every stop was beautiful and fun. The drive was long but spaced out beautifully, as to not feel like we were spending too much time in the car. Our tour guide Jacqui was an angel. She was so fun and energetic, and she was also knowledgeable and organized. She really helped make the trip special. 11/10 recommend this trip, especially if Jacqui is your guide!

Lucy was great. Her education helped her explain everything in detail. She was considerate of passengers. There was a major accident, we were stuck for two and a half hours on the road.

It was an amazing day with such an affordable price. Going to multiple places from Brighton Beach Boxes, Moonlit Sanctuary and number of stops, before the grand finale - penguins. It was breathtaking seeing penguins from a close up ((after 9:30pm, the waiting part before at the seaside was a letdown)) interacting, waddling and even mating.

Honestly, everything went to plan, with appropriate schedules, itinerary and the experience. Thanks Jaimes and Bunyip Tour for the outstanding experience.

Would definitely entrust this company again, subsquently provided the next one goes well too.

Unforgettable trip. From the diverse wildlife, to the breathtaking vistas, even the tour bus atmosphere was a great experience. Our guide, Israel, was not only informative and clear with his directions so that there was no confusion when/where to group, but was also a humorous and friendly personality that made the trip that much more memorable.

We had a great day. The stops at various points on the way broke up the journey, which we liked. It allowed time to stretch our legs and grab some nice food. The penguin parade was great to see, people ignored the phone warnings which was a shame but we still enjoyed it. Our guide Debbie shared lots of facts about the places we visited and tips of where to sit for the parade. Really enjoyable day.

We saw so many animals at the Wildlife Sanctuary and the penguin parade was amazing. Robert gave us fantastic tips for how to approach each venue. Make sure to get the upgraded premium tickets for the parade.

The Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation was pretty good, although there are better places to see native Australian animals and plants near Melbourne, such as the Healsville Sanctuary. The coastline at Philip Island is spectacular in its own right. The Penguin Parade was good, if a bit underwhelming: it was understandably getting dark by the time they left the water to cross the beach and they are VERY small, making it difficult to see them. Also for understandable reasons there is very little lighting and photography was not really possible, even if it had been allowed, which it wasn't, although inevitably a few people ignored the clear and repeated instructions and used cameras with flashes! I am not sure that the (unadvertised) visit to the colourful beach huts on the way to Phillip Island was really worth it and the beach itself was nothing special.
A disappointing aspect of this and similar tours was the cramped seating on the minibus. I am 6' 2" tall and I could not sit in my seat without my knees pressing into the back of the seat in front, which would not have been pleasant for the occupant. It was a long day as we didn't get back until after midnight and my back and neck were quite stiff at the end of it. The use of small (10 seater) minibuses with very little leg room seems to be a common feature with many, but not all, of the tour operators.
Finally, a word of praise for our guide Jools and her partner Gumnut (a toy Koala decked out in Christmas attire!). She helped to generate a fun atmosphere throughout the day and was very knowledgeable about the stops and more general Australian history and topical information. More significantly, she managed to coax the bus back to Melbourne after it developed a fault on the return journey; although parts of the trip were reduced to about 30mph, we were only about 20 minutes behind schedule getting back.
