The food choices were really good; amazing selection of local, great-tasting food. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of local routes to keep us out of the sun and pass by local sights.

Marvellous small group tour with the super knowledgeable Angel and her trusty offsider Cheri who did the leg work by going ahead and lining up for some of our food (on one occasion for 45 mins!) and drinks in advance.

We got to see parts of Chinatown we never would have found and got to hear the background on the hawkers and how they've developed over the years since before and after independence around 55 years ago. We got to taste Michelin starred dishes in locations where only locals know to find these little gems. Angel talked us through how it came to be that the first hawker became starred and how many there are now. We also heard about the cleanliness ratings on display at the front of the stalls - we would not have known otherwise that every place we ate from was classed as category A (the best).

The food range was great - the curry chicken bee hoon mee in Hong Lim Centre was delicious as was the description on how it was made and what was in it. The curry sauce (a little laksa style) was creamy and rich and the chilli sambal that went with it put the right amount of kick into it. We found that Angel and Cheri had excellent rapport with all of the hawker stall holders and they were very accommodating in letting Angel take time to talk through different bits and pieces within the various foods and the bee hoon stall was no different. The pandan chiffon cake along the way was also delicious. The iced kopi we had with our hainan chicken at Maxwell Centre was really refreshing as was the sugar cane juice at Chinatown Centre. Both drinks went down well with the dishes we were eating. Water supplied at the beginning too.

The side stops (partly to get out of the heat and into some air con for a bit) were little gems on their own - the Buddha Tooth Relic temple as well as the Singapore City Gallery were both as beautiful as they were interesting.

We took this tour as part of the Singapore Go City 2 day pass and definitely would recommend it if you do it as part of the pass or you just go ahead and buy the tickets yourself online. The timing was perfect and we really enjoyed the company of the fellow travellers - all of whom were interested in the tour but also easy to talk to making the tour easy. One thing you must remember - avoid eating too much (or anything) for breakfast before you come to this tour as you will struggle to get through all the food! Each dish was shared between each couple but there was more than enough food. A couple times I went and got myself a beer and my other half a coke zero at a drink stall in the hawker centres, and that was easy and quick so could keep up with the food and the moves between places.

100% recommended!!

Marcus was extremely knowledgeable. He also had an assistant with
him, who answered any questions in a professional, kind and friendly manner. Excellent tour. Taken to many Hawker Centre's and explanations around the food given. We were also treated to a historical and cultural tour around China Town. Excellent value for money. So many different foods to try, would highly recommend this tour.

I can’t recommend this tour company enough. I have taken all their free tours and food tour’s (and have recommended to offers). They offer consistent, informative and entertaining tours (with
professional tour guides). A great way to experience Singapore.

A great tour lead by Marcus who was extremely knowledgeable. Assisted by Isaac they took us to a number of hawker markets to taste local foods and drinks. In addition to the food, we learnt about Singapore culture and history and had a quick stop through the Buddhist museum in Chinatown
