This small-group tour includes a short transfer from your hotel to Cairns Railway Station where you will board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for an amazing journey over 37 bridges & through 15 tunnels passing the rainforest to the charming village of Kuranda. It’s a short walk to the village where you will have over 2 hours to dine, explore, shop or perhaps an exciting encounter with wildlife at one of the zoos (fees apply) Later, make your way to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway where you will glide over the rainforest canopy as you make your way to the Barron Falls.
View the magnificent Barron Gorge, the falls & visit the Rainforest Interpretive Centre before re-boarding the cableway and making your way to Red Peak Station. From there explore the World Heritage listed rainforest before re-boarding and completing your journey at Smithfield where you will be met and transferred to your accomodation. (please note the itinerary for this tour was reversed January 2022)

Great experience riding the train and the Skyrail. Michael was amazing with arranging it all, from pick-up and drop off to being available and responsive.

My wife and I had a funtastic time, Michael the Owner/Operator of Cairns Custom Tours, done a fantastic job organising the information to make train ride as enjoyable as he could, and picking us up from the Skyrail and taking us back to our pick up point.
The Kuranda Scenic train ride was an experience not to be missed, loved the views and the commentry. We travelled on the Skyrail on way , my wife who is not good with heights loved it and so did I. Recommend to go and enjoy both.

Fantastic day on the railway great way to experience the wonderful rainforest and waterfalls. Kuranda station full of lovely shops and eateries and heading back down the mountain in the skyrail really topped off a great day.

Michael was great at communication prior to and during the trip so that everything went smoothly. Great scenery along the way up on the train to Karunda. Plenty of choice of things to do whilst there, enjoyed the river trip and even saw a baby crocodile. The cable car down was great being able to get off at various points to walk in the rainforest. Back mid afternoon.

We took this tour in place of a ships tour because it is usually a bit cheaper and a lot more personal, with a small 10 0r 11 seater mini bus. Owner Operator Michael was very friendly and accommodating when I mentioned that one person in our group did a knee injury several days before and he offered her a wheely walker to use for the day, which became very helpful. He also gave us good information and commentary during the parts of the tour we were with him. All up a great day so thank you Michael.

Took this tour as an alternative to a cruise ship tour, glad we did, we had a small mini bus of about 10 persons which was more enjoyable than the larger coach tours and got some personal help from the operator when one of our team suffered a knee injury prior to our arrival by supplying a wheely walker for the day. Very good day out. Cheers

Miranda tour is a spectacular experience from both the train and the sky rail. Only downside was I chose the village rather than the boat trip - a mistake!
