This small-group tour includes a short transfer from your hotel to Cairns Railway Station where you will board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for an amazing journey over 37 bridges & through 15 tunnels passing the rainforest to the charming village of Kuranda. It’s a short walk to the village where you will have over 2 hours to dine, explore, shop or perhaps an exciting encounter with wildlife at one of the zoos (fees apply) Later, make your way to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway where you will glide over the rainforest canopy as you make your way to the Barron Falls.
View the magnificent Barron Gorge, the falls & visit the Rainforest Interpretive Centre before re-boarding the cableway and making your way to Red Peak Station. From there explore the World Heritage listed rainforest before re-boarding and completing your journey at Smithfield where you will be met and transferred to your accomodation. (please note the itinerary for this tour was reversed January 2022)

Michael was absolutely amazing to deal with from the beginning. He was very friendly and informative. He made the entire process of visiting Kuranda enjoyable and fuss free. He has a wealth of local knowledge and offers lots of information to decide how to best spend your time in the village. I am so glad we booked the tour with him. When we revisit I will definitely rebook with Michael.

I loved bird sanctuary.
The koala gardens and town was not spectacular.
Michael our tour guide made sure that we had our tickets and knew what to do.
Not enough time to go to Butterfly world.
Stay away from the Kuranda Hotel for coffee. It took 25 minutes to get a coffee to go

Easy & beautiful way to explore Kuranda with all transportation with train up and Skyrail down. Michael is a very engaging tour guide, coordinating schedules closely and easily. Saw & fed wallabies, koalas, and kangaroos at Kuranda Village. Saw an amazing Cassowary up close in the rainforest on the Skyrail down!

It was unfortunate that we were not able to do the train trip to Kuranda due to heavy rain. It was one of the things we were most looking forward to. Michael the tour guide did his best to make the trip to the Kunanda by bus interesting and informative. At least he did not cancel the whole trip. The markets at Kuranda were okay as was lunch at the pub, nothing to rave about but an enjoyable outing. The sky rail trip back was excellent. I am extremely scared of heights so to do it was quite a real challenge but I did it no problems. The stop offs on the way down were great and gave me confidence that I could do the trip.

The train trip is amazing,especially the spectacular Barron Falls. Plenty to do in Kuranda. The chair rail back is not to be missed.
The pick up and return to accommodation by Michael is an excellent service

The train ride is very pleasant with a stop to take photos. The butterfly sanctuary in Kuranda
is very interesting. The descent by cable car above the forest is dizzying. Very good bus transport to the hotel.
