Visit local streets where we see, taste and shop for cheese, cured meat, fruits, sweets and spices in markets of colour, scents and noise. Taste olives, oil and honey from a farmer and local wine made on site.
4.00pm tours will see ΜΟST of the market as it starts to close. Sundays the markets ARE SHUT so we visit a taverna and eat traditional food with ouzo and local wine. Visit a delicatessean and a spice shop and a producer of olive oil and honey. You will also enjoy Greek coffee and yogurt from a local producer.
20+ tastings offered including sit down meals of meat and fish on all tours. Learn about Greek culture and meet with the locals.
Vegetarian, vegan, GF options available. Vegan not available on Sundays.

We went on this tour with Rachel. So happens we were the only two on the tour and had a private tour! Rachel took us to some interesting non-touristy places which we would have never have found by ourselves. We tried a variety of foods along the way to two sit down meals. Rachel was very knowledgable about the food and also gave us some context. We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it at the beginning of a trip to Athens. Of course, come with an empty stomach!

Fantastic experience! Very friendly and knowledgeable guides. Tasted olive oil, honey, olives, spices, coffee and traditional foods, all from local shops, plus visited the veggie-fruit/fish/meat markets. We were stuffed by the end! Would highly recommend.

This was our best foodie experience ever. I guess if I will come back to Athens , I will go again. These foods were excellent, varied, lively. Guides are friendly and informative. In 3,5 hours we ate through ourselves in Athens. Brilliant. Thanks a lot.

We went on the group tour with Mike and his stepson Sam --- both are fun, energetic and knowledgeable. The day was lovely and planned well. The cadence of the food tour had the right amount of walking and standing, and at the right time the opportunity to sit down and enjoy platted food and wine. I was worried that we would feel overly full at the end of the tour, but it was truly wonderful—the perfect amount of tasting the food of Greece and immersion of culture.

There aren’t enough good things to say about our food tour with Rachel!!!! It was one of the best tours we have ever experienced. Rachel is fun and extremely knowledgeable of the Greek food and culture. We experienced the Greek markets, and tried everything from olives to spices to honey. The food we ate was amazing! When you book this tour, go hungry as there will be more food to try than you’ll be able to eat. Rachel orders the meals based on who the guests are and she personalizes the experience for you. If you are traveling to Athens and want to experience Greek food, this is the tour for you!!!! Thank you Rachel!!! It was our most memorable day in your beautiful city!!!
