Take a day to truly enjoy the wine and redwoods of Sonoma County through the eyes of the passionate and fun guides who know it best. This full-day tour is designed for small groups who want to learn, have fun, and get a local feel for the wineries and redwoods just north of San Francisco.
We purposefully choose NOT to go to Muir Woods, which is overrun with crowds and prevents our guests from fully enjoying the majesty of the Redwoods. Instead, we go to Armstrong Woods, which has older and taller trees, and far less crowds. The experience is for people that want to truly and fully experience the Giant California Coastal Redwoods. .

What a great experience. Our group was small, which really made the day feel intimate. Our guide, David, was outstanding. He took us to the best spots and gave us those tiny San Francisco details only someone who has lived there can know. The bridge location was perfect, the redwoods were amazing, and the wineries were fabulous. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough

We had a wonderful time. Armstrong Woods is a great choice, much more low-key and less crowded than Muir. Beautiful redwoods. The stop at Golden Gate Bridge was very nice, too. The lunch was delicious and the wineries were so much fun. We experienced a small mom 'n pop winery (Hook & Ladder) and a big one (Kendall Jackson). David was an excellent tour guide and driver. If you are looking for a nice small-group wine tour, I recommend this without hesitation.

My friend and I only had 1 day to explore after a conference in San Francisco. We chose this tour because it includes hotel pick-up and drop-off and lunch is included. We enjoyed awesome views of the Golden Gate Bridge, a stroll through a redwood forest that is more remote and peaceful than Muir Woods. And the wineries we visited were in beautiful settings with great wine and friendly staff. If I return to San Francisco, I will definitely signup up for another tour with this company!

Armstrong Redwoods Reserve was a perfect place to experience the Redwoods without crowds! It was Amazing! The wineries were also a fun experience! Phil was an wonderful tour guide and took us on a personal trip because the tour wasn’t full. Appreciate him not canceling- Highly, Highly recommend this day trip from San Francisco.

This was a great tour. Our guide Steve was awesome. He took us to a special location to take pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was fabulous. He also had umbrellas for us during the Redwood visit. One thing we didn’t know was that we were going to be hiking for about 2 miles. Bring hiking boots or something that works well in mud. Hook and Ladder winery was great. A small operation with very personal service. Kendall Jackson was okay but a bit too stuffy.

Wow! Steven was an awesome guide! He was born and raised in SF, enjoys the outdoors and used to work at a vineyard. He was so knowledgeable and gave us a great history lesson. He filled the drive with a documentary about the Redwoods and stopped at a couple of landmarks not described in the tour. Top notch tour and tour guide!

Our driver David was great. Loved the stories he told us at each site and as we were riding on the bus. The places we visited and the wine was excellent. Will definitely recommend to anyone going to San Francisco

Our guide (Viktor) was great providing a healthy menu, great information on the area, fantastic photo spot recommendations and gave the ride a very amusing tone.

It's absolutely amazing. I booked this trip last minute and I highly recommend it!
Our tour guide was so wonderful and accommodating. He was very funny and sweet. He has lots of knowledge of the city and different towns he drove us through to get to the redwoods and the wineries.
I love the small group aspect, we got to meet a lot of amazing people from different parts of the US and other countries.
The redwoods were so lovely and not a lot of people were there where we went, which I appreciate very much. Walking on the trail, it was so quiet and peaceful.
The wineries were very nice, you get a couple of different wines to try and after the first winery, you get lunch.
