Majestically dominating the city skyline, the terracotta dome of Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore (or Florence Duomo, as it’s more commonly known) is easily Florence's most iconic attraction. Experience this masterpiece of architectural genius.

Please be aware that every 1st Tuesday of each month, the Cathedral Museum is closed and will be subsituted by a guided tour inside the Baptistry.

• Minimum age is 7 years. Children under 7 y.o. are not allowed. Children not included in the total number of people in the booking, will be denied access to the tour
• Good physical condition required
• Good walking shoes required - flip flops are not allowed
• Most catholic churches in Italy require a dress code in order to enter. For The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, you are requested to be covered from shoulders to knees (shoulders, chest, stomach and thighs must be all covered by clothing) It is permissible to wear shorts, provided that they are long enough to cover your thighs and knees. You are also permitted to wear tank tops or spaghetti strap dresses, but you will need to bring with you a garment (shawl, jacket, cardigan) that can cover all the exposed parts between your shoulders and knees when you enter the building. Thank you for your understanding and if please contact us if you require further clarification.
• The tickets included with your tour are valid for one-time entrance to every site of the Opera del Duomo complex (Museum, Bell Tower, Baptistery, Crypt). As part of the tour, you will enter the museum, private terraces and climb to the top of the dome. These sites will not be accessible a second time with the ticket that we provide. So, for example: If you wish to visit the museum again after the tour, you will need to independently purchase a new ticket. You can use the ticket provided to enter (one time per site) the remaining location: The Bell Tower, Baptistery and Cathedral Crypt. Post-tour the skip-the-line service is no longer guaranteed. Please show your ticket to the personnel at each site and they will indicate the first time slot available for you.

Great tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very personal. She was great and leading us up the dome. I can’t recommend her highly enough. We really had a great time with her. She was personable, fun, and really did a great job with our group.

We spent the morning with Guido on our tour, who brought so much knowledge and perspective to our tour! His sensitivity to our needs was plainly evident as he made sure we were comfortable in climbing the dome and made it OK for those who didn't want to. Very thoughtful and knowledgeable, wonderful guide!!!

Lots of stairs but well worth it. The museum is amazing and shouldn’t be missed. The skip the line for climbing dome meant we were up early, just a shame about the weather.

We toured the Florence Duomo, its Baptistery and the Opera del Duomo Museum. We had the opportunity to walk up the inside of Brunelleschi’s Dome (463 stone, corkscrew steps) …. which was good but I must admit, we found it very hard work.

What a great tour, very exclusive with small and intimate group of 7. The climb was great and worth b every step to the top. Breathtaking view. A must if you are able. Exclusive access on the terrace. Very VIP and u have to skip the line. All worth the $$. Added bonus climb to the bell tower is included and another access to the cathedral again.What a surprise!

Brian was a great tour guide. He’s very passionate and knowledgeable about Florence and the Duomo. This tour allows you to go to other exhibits but we did not realize that until we met Brian. We had already made additional plans so we couldn’t take advantage of that. I recommend inquiring about what all is entailed with the ticket price to better plan your stay in Florence.

What a great experience, would absolutely recommend for anybody visiting Florence. I was a little overwhelmed by the masses of tourists in the streets but with this tour, you could escape and enjoy a bird eye's view of the whole city! The climb was spectacular too since you go up between the outer and inner dome. Super nice tour guide!

Lara was so knowledgeable on all things Florence, Duomo, history, art, architecture, and fun! We were so impressed with how smoothly the tour operated and everything we saw and learned. We never felt rushed or at a loss. When we come back, we will take the tour again and request Lara!
