Terrace Houses: From the time of Augustus, these dwellings of wealthy Ephesians, were decorated with beautiful frescoes and mosaics. The houses had luxurious bedrooms, bathrooms, triclinium, and kitchens. The archeologist has been excavating 7 houses owned by the richest Ephesians. These were high ranking officers, governors, and rich tradesmen.
5. The Temple of Artemis
was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Its ancient cult dedicated to Artemis was very famous in antiquity and made Ephesus a much-visited pilgrimage place.
6. The Basilica of Saint John
3 km away from the ruins of Ephesus a small church was built dedicated to John in 2C AD, Later in 6C AD it was replaced by a huge basilica built by Emperor Justinian, The impressive ruins are still standing today.

The tour was with Tolga, very fun guy and with a lot of experience and knowledge about all the places we visit. The food was a lot and amazing and also the tours to the leather shop and tapestry was also fun. We learned a lot and it was a very good time. Really recommend the tour

Mehmet did an amazing job patiently and knowledgeably showing us the Virgin Mary’s house, ancient Ephesus, St. John’s Basilica, and the Temple of Artemis. He has a wealth of knowledge and takes the time to explain the history behind the sights. Plus, he did a great job helping with pictures and arranged for an amazing lunch at a carpet-weaving cooperative! Can’t recommend him enough!

Amazing trip to Ephesus! Our guide Ali was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We never felt rushed for time when exploring the different areas. Had a great relaxed lunch and then a quick stop to Temple of Artemis, and even though there wasn’t that much to see we were able to learn a lot about it thanks to Ali. Would definitely recommend this tour

Getting to know Turkey is a wonderful and exciting experience, it is a combination of the present with many centuries of the past. Our guide, Gökhan, explained to us the entire history of this culture with many curious facts about the city of Ephesus and the house of Mary, where we learned about Christian traditions that gave us new feelings. Everything was very well organized. All of the above was possible thanks to our guide for being an excellent person, kind, respectful and for his good command of the Spanish, Portuguese and English languages.

Thoroughly recommend this trip. I have been to Ephesus twice now and I fall in love with it every time I go. You've seen nothing like it. In my opinion it's so much better than Pompeii.
