We had a wonderful driver (Laura) who had significant knowledge of Sintra and Cascais, providing us with the history and idiosyncrasies of the area. The tour of the palace of King Ferdinand was fantastic, but recommend you get there early in the day as the crowds get massive as day progressed

We saw everything on a most glorious day. Would like to have explored the Pena Palace park more. The history of how the woods were developed was interesting. A short hike would have added a cherry to top the whole experience off.

Our tour guide was Franco and he did an excellent job. He friendly and funny and also kept us right on schedule. We started the day with a trip to Sintra to tour the Pena Palace. We got there early when it was relatively quiet. By the time we left the palace, it was packed full of people. So glad we got there early. Then we went to charming town of Sintra to grab a pastry and a coffee. Franco told us just where to go and we got in with no problems. Next we did a quick photo stop to the western edge of continental Europe. After that we drove to Cascais, a pretty little beach town. We opted for lunch then walked around and explored the town. Again, Franco told us just where to go. Finally we headed back to Lisbon. All in all it was a wonderful day.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and conversational. He created a wonderful atmosphere in the van among perfect strangers without coming across as overbearing or inauthentic. He called our attention to the things worth paying attention to, and gave us quiet time when there was nothing special to see. Despite this being a jam-packed, multiple-stops day, he "kept the train on schedule" and ensured everyone had a good time.

Our guide, Ines, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She was able to answer all of our questions about the sites, as well as the many other questions we had about life in Portugal. Sintra and Cascais were beautiful.

Really loved the visit to Sintra and seeing the most Western Point of Portugal.
And, of course, hearing about the history.

Just had a terrific day with Alberto on the 8 hour tour of Sinatra, etc. So nice to have the small group and a personal guide. Very fluent with English and very knowledgeable on the questions we had on so many subjects. The history of Portugal and every day life here. Highly recommend Alberto and probably any guide as I’ve seen the quality of this company.

Each stop was memorable. If you have limited time this is a great tour. Three unique stops and well planned. Tomas was a great guide!
