Batam is across the water just one hour from Singapore, so if you are looking for a weekend break to Indonesia then this is a great place to come. You need to proceed to Sindo Ferry ticket counter to sail away to Batam. You will find a number of resorts, spas, restaurants and cafes and the nightlife here with a good range of choices if you are looking for some entertainment in the evenings.

Hightlights:
* Visit Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya, Welcome to Batam, 70 Fahrenheit Koffie, Barelang Bridge. Tua Pek Kong Temple, Batam Miniature Park, Muhammad Cheng Ho Mosque, Batik Gallery & Golden Layer Cake.
* Lunch included in this tour!
* Massage deal is optional to add-on too.

Find yourself with a few extra days in Singapore? Then this trip is worth it. The island is beautiful and you get a glimpse into local Indonesian life. The sights are good but not quite ready for prime time. The guide was excellent and the local cuisine is fascinating. Fruits and vegetables I had never seen before. The stop at the coffee shop was worthwhile and you can get exciting coffees to bring home. Skip the visit to the mall and ask the guide to spend extra time in the local fishing village. My suggestion to the tour company is to maybe include a visit to a local house or fisherman.

Great for a quick day tour of Batam. The guide, Din, was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the sites and food were amazing. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick tour of the city.

We were a group of 16. There were so many negatives we heard of Indonesia and we were a bit reluctant to visit. I am happy we did not listen to the naysayers and went on this adventure. We were blown away by the tour, the service, the guide and the smoothness of the entire journey. If given a chance, we will do this again in a heartbeat!

We were never put in a position to be scared and everyone were very professional. Thank you so much!

Our trip was personalised by our tour guide David. He was flexible in his timings based on what we liked to explore and preferred to do. He told many stories and had many ideas shared with us too. He made the trip enjoyable with his anecdotes. :)

The back end staff who helped liaised and arranged the admin and confirmation tickets via whatsapp were also very patient in explaining too. As a first timer, I was abit lost and worried so had to find ways to get information from them to understand clearly but in the end, all still settled. Thank u

Very bad experience with the service and expensive compared to other company. The tour guide didn't know the itinerary, so he drove only to two temples and the mall. It's not worth to pay the price for the terrible service.

We made this day-long tour from Singapore to see a bit of Indonesia. The journey by ferry takes about one hour, the reservation included the ferry return tickets and a private guided tour of Batam with one-hour massage included. All was nice, maybe not the nicest place on earth and quite different from the luxurious resorts in Bali and other Indonesian highlights, but all the same ok, it was a nice diversion from Singapore. What really made a good day was our guide, Irvin, who was waiting for us to arrive at Batam ferry terminal and stayed with us the whole day, very friendly and conversational, polite and funny, it was just like visiting an old friend and spending time with him for a whole day. During the tour we saw a very interesting Buddhist temple , a coffee factory and a bakery where they bake the traditional layer cake. You can buy coffee and cake if you want but you are not forced to, it’s really up to you. A nice traditional lunch and a fantastic massage we’re also included.

The tour guide Ana was very friendly and knowledgeable. She attended to our needs and was very punctual. We went to:
- Barelang Bridge
- seafood lunch by the sea (very beautiful experience, awesome food)
- Batam Layer Cakes where we bought cake lapis
- DC Mall and Nagoya Hill Mall
We received the full Batam experience, in the comfort of air-conditioned car. We felt pampered and taken care of. I highly recommend Solid Travels!
