My husband and I went with our 8 month old son. The dive sites were great. They fed you three times while on board. Food was great. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly with our son. Would recommend to everyone looking for barrier reef dive snorkeling tour.

We had a fabulous time. The staff were friendly and informative. All 3 snorkel spots had great coral and fish to see. We had plentiful and delicious snacks, coffee/ tea, and lunch to keep us full while being in the sun all day. Highly recommend.

We did a “3 dive cruise” out of Cairns one day and Port Douglas the next with the same company Silverswift and the experience was night and day. The Port Douglas cruise was over crowded and staff saved a lot of seats for people that were getting certified. We spent a lot of time standing because people lucky enuf to get seats would sit in their 2 seats and pile their stuff up on two more. On the first trip out of Cairns our dive master brought us coffee between the first two dives. On the second trip out of Port Douglas we finished our second dive only to be told we had 20 minutes to get lunch before it closed. We never got a second cup of coffee on the Port Doulglas trip we were told that they got sued and could no longer serve coffee when the boat was moving. We were never without coffee on the Cairns boat and never felt rushed or over crowded even though that boat was full too.The Cairns trip was well staffed and there was always someone there helping you with the 4 meter drop into the water. The Port Douglas trip was understaffed and there was one woman there constantly screaming at the top of her lungs at the snorkeling people that made it unpleasant for the divers too. Like I said night and day very hard to believe both trips were organized by Sliverswift. The dives were very similar except for a grey shark about 1 and a half meters long that appeared out of nowhere. It wasn’t a white tip. Our dive master quickly waved his arms at the shark and it changed its direction towards us. It all happened so fast that my husband behind me never saw the shark.

The entire crew were outstanding! Several of the crew members, and skipper, remembered us from the previous day, which made us feel appreciated. The organization of the day was top notch! I would recommend to anyone scuba diving or snorkeling.

We had the most amazing day on the Great Barrier Reef with Silverswift. The snorkelling was amazing, with swimming with a turtle being our highlight! We also took part in the introductory dives, where we had Paul as our instructor. He was extremely patient, kind and motivating to both me and my sister (as we were both quite nervous). All of the staff on board were lovely and the food was great.

Unfortunately, the day we chose to go out to the quicksilver outer reef was a day when the ocean was choppy. This made for a very uncomfortable and unpleasant trip out and back but is through no fault of the company - the staff on the boat were concerned and attentive in between bouts of vomiting which was awful for them to have to deal with but they were very sympathetic which was appreciated. I was nauseous all day and could not enjoy the snorkelling as the ocean was rough, and I just kept feeling sick, so I only ended up snorkelling for about 15 minutes and could not stomach even going on the glass bottom sub. All snorkelling gear including stinger suit and flotation device was included.
The quality of the snorkelling was poor in comparison to that off Green Island, and I would actually not do the outer reef again considering the trip was 2 hours each way and Green Island is only 50 minutes.
Lunch was included, and it seemed like a lovely spread, but I could not stomach it due to my nausea.

Loved this trip. Diving equipment was all in great condition, briefings were thorough and divemasters looked after us well. Stinger suits and (short) wetsuits provided. Boat had great facilities including hot showers to rince off and cold water drinking fountain. Snorkelers also well looked after, life jackets and pool noodles available. Plenty of time at each stop, even enough to snorkel after your dive. Sea sickness tablets free on board if you need them. Plenty of space on board.
