Only entertaining for kids under the age of 12... maybe even younger. I went with two of my friends (all 20+) off the recommendation from one of them who had previously visited not long after it had opened. However the 'good' bits that she remembers were hugely disappointing now (e.g the 4D bus ride isn't even 3D anymore).

It would only be fun if you had small children to watch them interact with the experience. Otherwise it's just super cringy and boring for older ticket holders (i.e having to 'believe' the magic bus will only go if we sing and dance on the spot...) Definitely not fun for 'all the family', and effort should be made to make the experience more relatable for teens + adults who are paying £30 to be there.

It's called 'Shrek's Adventure' but you only see Shrek at the very end. It's more about being chased by witches and you actually see more of the other characters from the Dreamworks franchise than of Shrek.

We felt totally out of place there (as none of us have kids), and felt so mislead into thinking that it would be a worthwhile paid experience for us. Very disappointing & a waste of time & money as it actually ended up being the most expensive thing we did during our trip!

Fantastic experience, from the moment you enter, the toilets, the characters, the bus ride. Really really good. The interaction with characters, the children and adults it brilliant. The sets are unreal. The special effects you are not expecting. Not gonna say as it will spoil the surprise

Sorry, we were not impressed at all. Very poor. Was hoping to see Shrek’s swamp and interact with the main characters. The characters they did have, played their part well but at the end of the day, we want to interact with Shrek, Fiona and Donkey. This is not the case. Not allowed to take any photos during the tour, only when you first enter. Would not recommend and a waste of money.

Honestly: It's super great for (English speaking) kids, but not at all for my age (22). Maybe make an 'teen' version, and one for younger kids. It kinda felt like I was out of place.

Example: the entire tour started with everyone 'needing to dance and sing' in order to make the 'magical bus' start again.

Being a huge shrek fan, I thought it was like something that they re-created the entire Shrek swamp or something like that. But none of that. Also was kind of a bummer that I couldn't record or anything.

This was a birthday treat for my 6 year old granddaughter and she loved it. We were very disappointed that you can’t take photos as we wanted memories of the day. I thought the various scenes were lovely and I enjoyed the humour. I am confused however as to why it is called the Shrek Experience as he only turns up at the end.

We had the grandchildren. 11, 9 and 3, for the weekend and selected on the Shrek Adventure to keep them entertained.
We arrived earlier than our tickets but were cheerfully checked through. The kids enjoyed the signs and images on the walls of the entrance hall as we waited to enter the Experience. Thankfully, just before we entered a tour there were toilets; an essential for young children .
After a magical ride in the elevator we arrived in the Tour Bus. The bus was great - DreamWorks at its best.
From there we were treated to a series of tableaus with live actors; we were taken through a story. The live actor really engaged the audience from young to older. Each scene was well presented and involved audience participation; both child and adult. The audio and visual aspects were superb.
At the end of the experience the 3-year old to the 73-year old and those in between had enjoyed the experience.
