Really nice tour. Our guide in the bus was Pilar. She was very friendly and informative during the bus portion.
There is only one stop to use a gas station restroom, it is very busy with a lot of other tour buses there as well, to use the same restroom. Plan according especially if using the ladies room.
They provided audio headphones which worked very well with how busy and loud the surrounding areas were. It made listening to the information being provided much clearer. Our guide through the city and at the alcazar was Rocio. She was wonderful as well, very knowledgeable and organized. We had a little over an hour or so of free time for tapas and shopping which we did.
Overall a really nice day and I would highly recommend!

We took a 32-day cruise on the MS Osterdam from Buenos Aires to Fort Lauderdale. We had booked a balcony cabin and an all-inclusive package. Our cabin number was 4026.
To get straight to the point: the operational processes on the ship were excellent. Top food, top service, top friendliness.
The no-gos are to be found in the management - if a process is not standardized, people and systems are overwhelmed.
Examples:
Cabin:
Our cabin was one of the few that had an Eternit barrier and not a glass veranda. This impaired the view. On the second day I asked to change cabins. Unfortunately, this could never be done despite repeated interventions. Excuses were absurd. Especially because in San Antonio (after 16 days) about half of the guests disembarked. From there at the latest, a cabin change could have been made possible. I don't know of any hotel where a room change is not possible during a longer stay. It was probably too difficult for the systems to create an interim invoice or they simply didn't want to.
IT package:
I was very surprised - I had included a package - that I actually had to pay an additional US$260 for a second device. I think this is a rip-off.
Minibar: Please don't look at the drinks! Prices are horrendous
Excursions: we designed these individually. And in the evening we found out that the guided tours saw roughly the same thing - just between 2.6 and 5 times more expensive.
In conclusion, I have the impression that Holland America is subject to extreme shareholder pressure and does not develop systems on a daily basis and is unscrupulous when it comes to prices (drinks, IT package).

For me, the two highlights of this tour were seeing the impressive Royal Alcázar of Seville and the overwhelming Plaza de España. Our tour guide on the bus from/to Cadiz cruise port was Virginia. In Seville, Reme was our tour guide. Both were knowledgeable and informative.
This was an excellent excursion.

Great tour guide but too much time at the alcazar. Would have liked some more free time. Would have been nice to have a choice of doing Alcazar at our own speed and having more free time

We booked them for the Cadiz to Seville day trip when we were on the Celebrity Infinity ship on December 20, 2023 and had a wonderful experience both with our driver and guide to get to Seville and the female guide once we got there and toured the city and royal palace. They seemed very organized and had great communication. They even sent an email a couple days prior to the tour to remind us to bring our passport for entrance to the palace.

We used Spain Day Tours 3 times during our cruise. We had used them twice several years ago and knew they're a very good company. Emilia is always quick to answer all the questions.
Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela. The main attraction of this city is the cathedral and the tour guide, Fernando made the place come alive with the history and stories about the pilgrimage. This place exceeded my expectation. The only thing that went wrong was the AC on the coach didn't work on our way there from Ferrol. It was an hour drive and the coach was getting uncomfortably warm by the time we got there. Thankfully the AC was fixed for our drive back to Ferrol otherwise we wouldn't be able to survive the afternoon heat.
Cadiz to Seville. We used the ship's shore excursion to Seville several years ago and were very disappointed. This time we were able to see more and our guide, Josephine was very good. I wished we had more time at Plaza de Espana so we could walk to the other end of the plaza. Overall it was a much better tour experience than the ship's shore excursion.
Malaga to Ronda and Mijas. This was not a guided tour. The guide, Miguel gave us all the info about Ronda and Mijas and gave us clear direction on how to get back to the coach so nobody got lost. We visited Ronda with this company last time in a guided all day tour and we wanted to explore the canyon below the iconic bridge this time so the non-guided tour suited us. We were able to take stunning photos of the bridge from below. Mijas is a pleasant village to stroll for a couple of hours but not much sightseeing there.

My husband and I, along with several other friends, toured with Spain Day Tours (SDT) while in Cadiz (for a tour to Seville, Dec 18th) and Valencia (to tour Sagunto and Valencia, Dec 20th). We were on the Infinity (9-21 Dec 2023 cruise - great cruise!!). I’ve booked several tours in the past with SDT.

For our tour from Cadiz to Seville, Oscar was our guide and Jose Antoni was our driver. Once dropped off in Seville, Marina was our guide for the day. Adela was our guide for Sagunto and Valencia and Xavier was our driver. Our guides were informative, friendly, and spoke English very well. They are passionate in wanting us to learn about the history of the places we visited.

Adela suggested several places for lunch, places that she frequents. We decided on a place that served pintxos (Basque type of tapas, but individual servings, which are thick cuts of bread topped with a variety it toppings). Great choice.

Our tour to Seville was a full day, as it took about an hour and 20 minutes to get there, so we just brought snacks. If you haven’t been to Seville, go! I was there back in 1994 and 1996 and remember the charming area of Santa Cruz. SDT booked tickets in advance for our visit to the Alcazar.

We always ask to be returned to the ship by a certain time so that we don't miss our ship's departure. We've never had a problem with this and the guides know this requirement and will work around the tour itinerary.

The vehicles they use are very comfortable and in excellent shape.

SDT helped me arrange private transfer services in advance to get from our hotel to the ship (for 10 of us); and then to the airport after the cruise (for 6 of us). They used a company that picked us up and dropped us off promptly. Each driver was professional and friendly. We had to provide a count for the number of people and luggage to include whether large or carry-on. This way they provided the right size vehicles. It was perfect.

Lastly, working with Emilia and Dionisio has been great. They are quick to respond to my emails and making any necessary changes as we planned our tours.

I highly recommend SDT if you are looking to book private tours.

Monica

The tour was fabulous! Our guide was so passionate and knowledgeable.

You could tell that he was in love with the city and his love for his job as a tour guide was evident.

I would and will recommend Spain Day tours to any one I know that is coming to Spain in the future. I would not hesitate to personally use Spain Day Tours again. It was an amazing day and the value could not be beat.

We had the most wonderful time on our Cadiz to Seville excursion. It was perfect! Our guide, Oscar, was very knowledgeable and entertaining which made the excursion even better. The bus was very comfortable, and we had plenty of room to spread out. Prior to our trip we were concerned about making it back to our cruise ship in time, but we were certainly not disappointed as we made it back with plenty of time to spare.

We would surely recommend your tour company to anyone interested in seeing Spain without paying the exorbitant fees charged by the cruise lines.

Thank you for making our trip special.
