The Fonseca winery was very interesting and the Guide Lady was very good and professional . The Tasting was also very good.

So the caveat to this review is that we booked the tour very last minute — the night before. Since it was still online and still bookable, we just assumed we were joining a tour that already existed. It turns out, it was just us, and bc we booked so late, the company was unable to secure reservations with any of the wineries, which meant we couldn't get in for a tasting or tour. Our tour guide was very friendly and tried his best to get us into wineries - it wasn't his fault - but ultimately we only were able to do one tasting, so kind of a bust. Again, not the fault of the tour guide but I do think the trip shouldn't remain posted and available if you can't actually book last minute.

On the first location, Catralvos, beautiful location.
But the service was subpar. We were basically abandoned by our hostess during our tasting. Finally we got up and left. No one even noticed. For the second location, Jose Maria Da Fonseca Rafael was an excellent guide for our tour. Very knowledgeable and great personality. Great storyteller. The place itself is amazing.

This tour cost is approximately 300. CDN for 4 hours. We liked the tour guide but we really could have hired an Uber for this cost and the wine tour itself was just okay. Also, two tiny wine samples at one and three at the other winery. Would not recommend for the price - do a walking wine tour in the city for a fraction of the price.

Tour bus and guide was 30 min late. Ride was comfortable. Tour was medium. Wine was good. Countryside is beautiful

Lovely experience in two very different wineries. Both were excellent introductions to Portuguese and regional wines. The tour guide Goncalo was super nice and even took us to Cascais after the tour!

We waited in car for 45 minutes for additional passengers. We were rushed through the first tour due to being late. Arrived at the second tour to find out we were too late to tour and only did a rushed wine tasting. The driver was apologetic. I contacted the company to voice our concerns and he offered us a 25 percent refund on our credit card to which we have not yet received.
