Each lesson includes a 10-15 minute land lesson on the basics of surfing and ocean safety. The rest of the lesson is spent in the water with your instructor. Top notch instruction from George and excellent experience for my girls at the lesson. Highly recommend! We used to Maui Surf Riders 9 years ago and loved it so glad we came back! My girls surfed today surrounded by sea turtles! Perfection!

Check in was simple.
Our instructor cor my two grandchildren ages 7 and 11 wa Kaemee(?). He was great with the kids and made them feel relaxed. He also connected well with them.
My grandson(7) was quite apprehensive about being in the ocean and if he would be able to surf. Lol
He got up the first try and made it all the way to shore.
It was a blast to watch them out there for two hours. They were exhausted but want to do it again soon!
My best advice is to use zinc as sunscreen.
They provide long sleeve rash guard shirts and rubberized water shoes.
