1. Arch of Constantine
Join us to pick up your tickets 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time, next at the ARCH OF CONSTANTINE (the short side overlooking the colosseum-look for a BLACK FLAG), the largest triumphal arch ever built in Rome located between the Palatine Hill and the Colosseum. The arch was erected in 315 to commemorate Constantine, the first Christian emperor of the Roman history.
2. Colosseum
You will be added to a small group (max 30) with a privileged skip-the-line entrance and, after the entry procedures and the mandatory security checks, you will be free to explore the Colosseum by yourself. The Colosseum, the symbol of Ancient Rome, is the biggest Roman amphitheatre for gladiator games ever built, the most well-preserved one and one of the most visited monument in the world. Definitely a must see!
3. Palatine Hill
After the visit to the Colosseum, you will be escorted to the entrance of Palatine Hill/Roman Forum and you can explore both sites by yourself. According to the legend, the Palatine Hill is the place where Rome was founded by Romolus thousands of years ago. This green area is full of ancient temples and houses and it hosts the magnificent residences of the Roman emperors. It is a true open-air museum!
4. Roman Forum
After the visit to the Colosseum, The Roman Forum, the heart of the Roman Republic where all the public activities took place, is he most suggestive space from Roman times. A lot of temples, houses and other magnificent buildings like basilicas are still well-preserved and visible: enjoy to walk along Roman roads through their colums, like a true Roman citizen!

• MEETING POINT ( REDEMPTION POINT) : Pick up your tickets at the ARCH OF CONSTANTINE (side of the Colosseum). You will meet our staff (remember: 15 MINUTES PRIOR to the arranged time) who will hold a BLACK FLAG saying "Ancient and Recent - Virtual Reality Tour"
• Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Following the new directives of the Colosseum, the ticket to the Colosseum is nominative and therefore it is mandatory to have the FULL NAME OF ALL PARTICIPANTS.
• You will be added to a group with a privileged entrance and after the security check you’ll be free to explore the Colosseum by yourself.
• After the visit of the Colosseum (around 1h), with the same tickets, you will be able to visit always by yourself the both sites: the Palatine Hill/Roman Forum.
• The Colosseum tickets have a SPECIFIC SCHEDULED TIME: if you arrive late for the meeting point, it will NOT be possible to join the group or reschedule, unless you pay for the activity again. As per no-show rules, you will NOT be entitled to a REFUND.
• The Colosseum requires mandatory entry procedures (show children/under 18 to the staff, voucher exchange) and mandatory security check that must be carried out even by the skip-the-line ticket holders. This could require to wait a little more before entering the monument, as this part cannot be skipped.
• The Colosseum’s capacity regulations (no more than 3000 people inside at the same time) may delay the tour departure. This could also influence the smooth running of the tour especially on national holidays, weekends and during high season. So, even the skip-the-line queue may be not as fast as usual.
• Children/under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and must carry ID passports or a valid identity document (also a digital copy), because the Colosseum staff may ask to check them at the entrance.
• The Colosseum area is an open archaeological park and for this reason is not equipped with sun/rain covers and shops. The local operator is not responsible for any kind of discomfort due to this.
• Please wear comfortable shoes and bring your own bottle of water (no glass bottles/no alcohol).
• The local operator is not responsible for any inconvenience caused by the closure of the Colosseum/Palatine Hill/Roman Forum due to strikes, events, bad weather, etc.
• It is forbidden to enter the Colosseum and Palatine Hill/Roman Forum with with BULKY luggages, handbags. Please be aware that there is no luggage storage and that we cannot keep your stuff. Take only the necessary stuff: camera, plastic bottles, documents, wallets etc
• It is strictly forbidden to enter the Colosseum with knives and any kind of cutting object. Pay attention not to bring with you this kind of stuff.
• This ticket does NOT includes the access to the Arena (except if you booked "Vip Arena Ticket" or "Underground ticket/Guided" options)
• This tickets does NOT includes access to Underground (except if you booked "Colosseum Underground ticket/Underground Guided" option)
• Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
• Opening times Colosseum/Roman Forum: January 1 to February 29: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM; March 1 to March 30: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM; March 31 to September 30: 8:30 AM – 7:15 PM; October 1 to October 26: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM; October 27 to December 31: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. Last admission one hour before closing.
• Children under 18 do not have to purchase a ticket, they can enter for free (except for the Underground option)

CANCELLATION POLICY

We pre booked our skip the line tickets with arena access for this experience. About a week ahead of the scheduled date, we received a message stating
that the Colosseum management cancelled all the Colosseum Arena slot's tickets for that date. We were able to keep just skip the line tickets and get a partial refund if that was okay. It was the only day we could go as it was too late to replan our other experiences, so we agreed. We got there on the day of and after finally finding the people with the black flag (we didn’t realize they aren’t there until right before your time, so don’t go early), we got our two tickets and went up to enter 10 minutes before our scheduled time of 12:00 only to find out that our tickets were actually for 12:15 so we couldn’t get in for another 15 minutes, which put us behind. After finally getting through the entry point, we got to where they scan your ticket and were told one of the tickets had already been used and asked if we had been there before. We had not and had to speak with a supervisor to eventually get through. This was another delay! After getting in and seeing the beauty, we realized that arena access was available that day as many people had that level of tickets and were getting the experience we had asked for, paid for, and then turned away saying they were all cancelled for the day. That was frustrating and defeating because we should have been down seeing that with the others. It also took almost a week after being told we would get a partial refund and having to ask about it to actually have that happen. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience and I personally will not be using this company again for experiences.

Few days before the tour Acient and recent reached out saying I needed to reschedule the date as the day I chose is not available any more. I chose May 8th and the ticket they gave me has the original date of the 9th which ment I could not enter, and they were unable to get me a ticket for the day. I had already rescheduled the events of my trips to aline with the new date of the 8th but apparently there was no need to reschedule as the original date was available and they told me i could come on the original. Which threw a wrench into all of my plans.the manger was unavailable for any kind of help. I would not book with them and find a different company to go with. If possible I would give them a no star rating.

While the Colosseum is amazing to see and walk through, this particular 'tour' was not a good experience. Specifically, we waited among a huge crowd at the stated meeting area for the tour person to show up and give us our entry tickets. There was no communication from the tour person or signage onsite to help us know where or when this would occur. After getting our tickets, we were on our own and proceeded to a very disorganized 'line', waiting to get through a temporary tent for entry.

Your vendors canceled our tickets to the Coloseum twice but never provided a reason for the cancellation. Hugely disappointing as we had used aviator in the past. Will rethink that loyalty for future trips.

The experience was good. It would have been nice to have a little more instruction. The ticket didn't have instruction on what was included, it just said full experience. It would have been good to knowntondownload the Colosseum app to listen along with what the different areas were. It didn't work for me with my plan in the moment. The colosseum was great, the Roman forum and Palentine hill are wonderful as well. After a long day, I'm glad I didn't have a guide and could go at my own pace.

The tour was cancelled only one week in advance of the tour. Left us scrambling for another tour. Ended up costing us twice as much with no skip the line. Lucky our guide was amazing or this review would have gotten a “0”!!!
