When you do this tour as a tourist is will be sometimes difficult to find your way. The stops are not named with the address so every now and then you have to use google to find the way. But the food at every stay is very good and so typical for Rotterdam.

A bit of a rocky experience - we were told to download the wrong app and as a result, waited for 30 minutes as per instructions, only to find out we did not need to do that.
The tour itself, once we started, was ok. The portions were quite small. The store owners were not particularly enthused to see us which put us slightly on edge. The app descriptions were brief.
Cheaper than an actual tour, and it was nice to go at our own pace.

Can really recommend this tour, the app is excellent and easy to use. The food was delicious,hard to pick a favourite but the Super Crepe stop is a narrow winner. Certainly was not hungry afterwards we didn’t even go to dinner back on the Cruise ship. With all the food stops, bit of history and a drink included at the last venue this is great value for money, highly recommend.

It was a great mix of facts and food. We took our time and we were done in about 5 hours. Good mix of Dutch and international cuisine.

We had planned to do the guided food tour - but there were not enough people. The self guided option was a very satisfactory substitute. The text in the app gave some history and tips that added to the experience at each stop. As we have found with other tours - we ended up at spots that we would have never just walked in to - and had great tastings! Our favorite - Super Crepe! So yummy!!

My boyfriend and I booked the bicycling tour and it was not available due to a lack of bookings, so the host switched us to the walking tour (with advance notice and our permission of course). This was a wonderful experience combining insight into Rotterdam at various points and delicious bites along the way. We experienced a few areas that we might not have without the tour. The hosts at each restaurant we visited were accommodating. We lucked out on the weather and got to spend time dining outside observing the vitality of city at each stop. The app works perfectly, and we actually preferred the self-guided approach as we had time to stop into different shops along the way. The snacks added up to a filling and diverse meal.

We had a great time on the self-guided tour. We originally wanted to join the guide-led tour but unfortunately there was not enough people but the organiser suggested the self-guided tour instead. It worked really well-we each downloaded the app and used it to guide us around Rotterdam centre. For each food stop, we just mentioned the tour/showed the app to the staff and were given food/drink -there were no issues at all, and we were welcomed to sit inside the food places to have the food. All the food was lovely, and we were quite full by the end. We also got to see some nice stops and sights around Rotterdam.

Loved the tour. You can go at your own pace and discover the city bit by bit. Bites were perfectly-sized, loved to taste different things in one day. Got to know new spots to eat with pleasant people working there. Recommend the tour as a way to explore the city ;)
