Our guide José Luis was very organized yet relaxed and friendly. He provided all different types of information about the history of the cities and Spain in general. His english was very good. He kept a good pace and provided time for conveniences like a quick coffee and bathroom breaks. Highly recommend.

Good value day trip to see Segovia, a beautiful city that my family loved. Avila was also nice, but most things were closed on a Monday

Not a great tour. The bus was very uncomfortable with little leg room. We were absolutely jammed in like sardines. Uncomfortable!!

The female guide did both Spanish and English but didn’t really seem to know interesting history to impart. I would recommend she research more and work on a better presentation.

For 30 minutes in Avila we were held hostage at a candy store listening to an interminable explanation of how the candy is made from eggs and sugar. We had to wait through this BORING advertisement before the guide would take us up on the city walls, which we had paid for. We could have had 30 more minutes exploring the beautiful city, but didn’t!

This was the largest and worst tour I’ve been on with Viator or trip advisor. It would have been much better to purchase train tickets and go on our own.

THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST TOUR I EVER BEEN ON. MY FAVORITE PART WAS THE RIDE BACK TO MADRID. THANK YOU BUS DRIVER FOR GETTING ME THE HECK OUT OF THERE. I SAW THEY HAVE FREE CANCELLATION. IF YOU PURCHASED IT, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT.

Summary of tour with the tourist guide Jose Luis:
1. Purchased English tour only 3 rooms was explained in English after I was complaining with my friend who was doing the tour with me He explained the fountain and statues in Spanish. when all I got was 1 sentance "this is the plaza in Segovia Alcazar" In Avia i had a wall explained on the way there on the bus and one room in a chaple. The entire tour was spanish. I got so angry and frustrated i didnt even bother sampling their itty bitty pastries that were all explained in spanish in Avila. At the end, the guide asked if I want him to explain the pastries I told him no. What the heck was the point everything was over and pretty much everyone was leaving. I have no idea what i was looking at.

2. We purchased the meal with the tour. Food and restrauant organization terrible. The waiter even seemed confused. Food was small and not very good. However I did like the bread and soup. Ohh the glass of wine was nice.

3. We were supposed to have time to ourselves. We did not got a moment of a break to visit shops or do our own site seeing.

4. Some umbrellas were provided. My friend and I were the lucky ones not get one. I'm riding on a bus soaked from head to toe.

5. If you can get a ride to these places just use Google images. You will probably get a better tour out of that than I did. What a garbage tour and waste of money.

Good Luck.

We were assured by the tour company the guide would be fluent in English. This was certainly not the case. Explanations in English were difficult to understand even though the explanation given was about 1/4 of the same explanation given in Spanish.
Difficult to know beforehand that one will be disappointed when the company confirms English speaking clients will have a good English speaking guide.
Tour companies too anxious to get your money

Very interesting. We had a large group and the guide had to speak two languages. A little confusing trying to get to the meet up points as the towns are like mazes. Learned a lot about the history and the culture. I would recommend

I would recommend this tour to everyone. There is a lot of walking, but that’s what you get with a “walking tour”. Many steep steps in Avila.

It seems daunting when you book a tour like this will great distances to cover in a bus. However, the trips were broken up very well. Gave you time to recover after walking.

Only reason this did not get 5 stars is that there was more detail given in Spanish rather than English and this was listed as a “tour in English”. The guide was knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable.

The bus left late, so we arrived to Segovia late. Then we stood in front of the Aquaduct for a good half hour trying to fix the audio equipment. Once underway, we had another stop for several minutes to fix audio issues. Ultimately, serval people had to share one set. Then we literally raced to the Alcazar because we had a 5 pm reservation. We passed many tours where the guides were giving detailed explanations of the points of interest along the way while we got not much more than the name of the place before we rushed onward. Once at the Alcazar -- at 5:25 -- we walked very quickly through a he various rooms, again with little more than the names of the places. We could see that there were other points of interest because the codes for the audio guide was posted, but no additional facts or information were offered and no time for questions was allowed. We finished the Alcazar around 5:35, leaving us 40 minutes on our own. We toured the Cathedral ourselves and raced back to th bus for the 6:15 departure. Of course we didn't actually get underway until 6:43. The last person on was the guide. After taking "attendance" of the group, she left the bus again for several
Minutes longer and collected the audio before the bus got underway.

The bus itself is way too cramped The seats in front are not as bad but in he back out knees were pushed up against the seat in front of us and then a VERY RUDE tourist sat in front of us and put his own seat back so that he was literally in our laps. We moved to the very back of the bus. It was very uncomfortable.

All in all, we would have done better to take some other form of transportation and guide ourselves to visit Segovia. The city of Segovia gained little from our group as I heard other people complaining that we had no time to shop or to get something to eat or drink. I do not recommend this tour.

It was a great deal and a wonderful trip. The tour guide was safety conscious and also ensure everyone is safe at all times. She was approachable. However, I feel the tour should have included at least one entry ticket to the attractions. Also, the tour company should provide buses with charging socket.
