Explore one of the Lofoten archipelago's most beautiful islands by kayak. This small-group paddling tour takes you on an adventure in the magnificent surroundings of Skrova where you will see the Skrova lighthouse, white-sand beaches, and the spectacle of the Lofoten mountains meeting the sea. While you paddle, you may also spot wildlife such as sea eagles, sea otters, and porpoises.

To begin your adventure, first hop aboard the Svolvær-Skrova ferry, which is free to all passengers. Once you arrive at the harbour of Skrova, you will meet your guide by the Heimbrygga restaurant.

Learn about Skrova island history while spying on the wild life around you. Remember to keep your eyes wide open while paddling through the crystal clear shallow waters to ensure you don't miss any fish swimming underneath your kayak.
Put your sunglasses on, take a leisurely stroll, or simply relax on one of the white sand beaches before heading back to Skova harbour.

We came as a family and loved the welcome, the explanations and the patience of Mike and Jennifer. We were afraid that it would be very sporty but not at all, it's really very accessible and family-friendly. A superb family activity with good equipment, good guide and very beautiful views! We recommend it to you!

Very nice guide with a lot of local knowledge on the tour and tips for the Lofoten/Vesterålen. The tour was really nice and adapted to our abilities. Water and beach like in the Caribbean, great view of the mainland and the Lofoten chain. We spent the time waiting for the ferry with a delicious dinner in the Heimbrygga restaurant. Great trip.

Michael & Jenn were friendly, professional and knowledgeable.
Had a fantastic kayak with all safety gear and instructions for those with no experience. My first time in a sea kayak with pedals and they were perfectly adjusted & worked great!!
We also had perfect conditions! Flat & warm water, sunshine and warm temperature .
Highly recommend this activity, location and company!!

A magnificent, enriching, sporty hike! We were amazed! The discovered places, inaccessible by land, were of pure beauty! Mikael taught us many things and was extremely attentive, friendly and professional! He even extended our outing by more than an hour because it was “a good day”! A big thank you for this beautiful afternoon! I recommend!

Loved meeting Mike and Jennifer around this quite, peaceful, and beautiful island. The guides are knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and very warm, making the whole experience very fun. They explain kayak and safety for about 30 mins, and then we go kayaking for about 2.5 hours around the island. We observed kelp forests and sea urchins during our trip.

The tour is a must do if visiting Skrova and definitely worth a day trip from Svolvaer (20 minute free ferry to Skrova runs several times a day). I am a solo female traveler in my 40s from Canada. Tour was able to accommodate people of various physical abilities. My guide Senya was super attentive to the small group (2 couples and myself). He had great little antidotes throughout the tour but also gave the group plenty of quiet time to just take in the nature. Highly recommend!

Excelant tour!! A small group with amazing Michal guiding us. The surroundings are spectacular! We stayed longer since it was such a beautiful day and even got lucky enough to see sea eagles up close. Over all a great day 😀

Mike was very accomodating and kind. He is the perfect guide. Mike was concerned about out comfort and encouraged us in our efforts. During the paddle he told us information about the area. The route was beautiful. We are beginner kayakers but felt safe, relaxed and awed by the beauty. I highly recommend this tour.

We enjoyed this so much! We did the afternoon tour and were treated to fabulous guides, stunningly calm sea and spectacular views of mainland Norway as well as Lofoten during our time out on the sea. Mike met us and took us round to the centre and explained everything thoroughly and got us all the kit we needed from dry suits to spray decks etc. After instruction how the sea kayak and steering worked, another local guide (Vani) joined the group and we set off.
We paddled round the island and stopped at a beautiful white-sand beach for a break. We saw countless sea urchins and sea birds (including a sea eagle). Both guides were so friendly and chatted about the area, the wildlife, their experiences etc as we paddled and were very interesting to talk with.
Mike and Vani were in no rush to get back to dock and this made the whole experience incredibly relaxing and very enjoyable for us all.
This was a top highlight of our holiday in Lofoten and was a wonderful way to see the local scenery as well as some marine wildlife too with lots of great input from very knowledgeable guides.
I highly recommend this to anyone whether you have done kayaking before or not- you won’t regret it!
One tip is that the ferry to Skrova is free for foot-passengers (if you use Torghatten Nord). We caught the 13:30 ferry from Svolvaer and the 21:30 back (this was the only return time available as the times are not regular due to the ferry also serving the mainland as part of its route). This actually worked very well as there was no rush to complete the kayaking and we also had time to have some food at one of the local restaurants.
5/5 - no doubt about it!
