This was an extremely long day leaving from Florence around 7 AM and returning at 8 PM.

While the cities were quaint and beautiful, the tour guide seemed quite flustered in an attempt to navigate the delayed train stations where our tour bounced around in an unorganized fashion. The boat ride while beautiful lasted all of 10 minutes which was a major let-down.

Each village was similar to the prior and in my opinion was not worth taking a full day away from spending time in Florence if you have limited time.

Lovely to see and walk through 4 of the 5 seaside villages. They’re very busy places and we sure appreciated someone handling all the boat, train and coach transport for us. I paid for a lunch to make it easy, it wasn’t spectacular and took quite awhile to arrive, however don’t know if we would have done better on our own. I wish during our 2.5 hour coach rides to Cinque Terre (or on the way back) the guide would have told us something about the area, the history, … anything. She did have a mic on the bus but didn’t use it for passing on any details of the area. That was very disappointing.

1. Staff late setting up
2. Bus late to arrive at pickup
3. Bus late to depart due to waiting for late arriving guests even though clearly stated on site it would not wait and inconvenience on time guests
4. These same late guests were continually late all trip. Consequently no safe sitting or standing room available on boat.
5. Bus stopped in another city to pickup one guest. And, again on return to Florence
6. Guide did not interact with guests, or give any information about the area through which we travelled. Very impersonal. Guide and driver carried on their own italian conversation the way out and back.
7. Guide spoke in such a low voice at stopping points, we could not hear any directives or information
8. Guide hung back with flag standard instead of leading the way. Guests had to pass along information to each other.
9. Guide was unsure of tranpo times, methods, directives. Other guides in area had to correct her.
10. Trains and boat so overcrowded no place to sit or stand safely
11. Very little information given by guide about locations visited
12. Not enough time allowed to visit points of interest in locations except for one
13. Completely impratical to offer a tour to all these locations in one day; particularly for this number of guests. We rely on Viator to offer enjoyable tours and this was the opposite.
14. All-in-all a chaotic, stressful, entirely unenjoyable waste of time and money. Unacceptable!

Constantino, Alessia, and the driver that I am so sorry we forgot his name, on Monday May 6 made this a wonderful experience. A “must do” with them if you visit Florence. Everything about the trip was awesome. Well organized , safe and Constantino made the day most enjoyable with his narrative.

Alessia and the other guide who's name I just can not recall were fantastic! We enjoyed this excursion however long it was completely. The sights, the smells, the people AMF things we experienced were just wonderful. Very well worth the trip and prove. A beautiful day spent. Also, the guides were so attentive to not lose anyone and that is a tall order with so many people. Well done Alessia and her Co-Worker. Sorry I couldn't remember you name!

This was a good tour but it is a big group.
The guides did a good job keeping this group together from town to town on the local trains there. The area is beautiful and definitely worth a visit for great holiday photos. In my opinion the lunch option available is way overpriced, I suggest during this lunch break head over to the old town (5-6 mins. walk) .
The area is very busy with a lot of other large tours going on so pay close attention to the guides about your train stops and meetings points and time.

DO NOT take this trip as an independent. We were NOT told that you need to have the original face ID to get the park pass. … the train staff would not accept a paper copy or a copy in my iPhone. Neither guide seemed to know what to do about this. It took some time to work out, so we missed the train with all the other participants. In any case we were told to be back at 4:30 on the dot at the train station to meet the rest of the guided participants to get the bus back to Firenze. . 4 :30 pm came and went and the guides and participants weren’t there; 4:45 PM still not there; 5 o’clock still not there same. At 5:15 PM someone called the tour company as we feared we had been stranded. We had tried to call one of the guides and they did not pick up the phone. The tour company took the names of the seven people waiting. She quickly made a call to the guides and was told there had been a delay and they were on their way.. When the guides and the rest of the participants finally got back to the train station, the guides did not apologize, and one of them got quite defensive. She said some thing like she didn’t pick up the phone because she didn’t recognize the number.
And for some reason, the bus could not pick us up at the train station. We had to do a 25 minute walk to where the bus was. We were all very tired and this was quite inconvenient. Also, it’s a group of 60+ people on the bus and no whisperers were provided while we walked with the tour guides. others said it was impossible to hear them, but the guides did not say that much anyway.
It was a very disappointing trip and I would not recommend it.

Thought overall cost was outrageously expensive, not to mention the pitiful lunch!! The places visited were fabulous though! Tour director (think it was Stansislava, apologies 4 spelling) was brilliant esp when a train strike would've left us stranded, her ability to get us back to Florence was first class!!
