This was an opportunity to see further countryside and quieter beaches. Our guide, Ramon, gave interesting insights of the towns. While the towns were a refreshing change from PV, they still were very touristy. Great guide & bus driver.

Sayulitas and San Pancho are great towns to visit. But going on this tour was a little painful. The first hour was wasted just picking up people from different hotels. We also felt like we didn’t have enough time in each of those towns, and had to hurry back to the shuttle. Save your money and just get a taxi to take you to those towns (which are worth going to)!

This was a lot of fun. We preferred San Pancho to Sayulita as it was a smaller town but it felt like there was a lot more to see. We also booked on a Tuesday and there was a lovely flea market happening.

Would recommend this as a great way to see some smaller beachy towns around PV / and for a different experience.

Our guide was great as well

This is a great trip to two beautiful cities. There is so much history to learn, food to try, and sites to see in any place we stopped. Our guide, Daniel, was very well educated on all and led us on a great tour. Bonus: We tried fruits and snacks at a roadside vendor and Sopes at a restaurant founded by an innovator during the pandemic. Both were amazing!

This is a great trip to two very dynamic little towns with so much to see and learn. Our guide, Daniel, was very informative with all of the history of the two towns, and all of the history of the roads and surrounding areas. We had 1.5hrs of free time in both towns to explore, shop, and/or go down to the beach. Bonus 1: We stopped at a roadside market and received 10+ samples of different fruits and candies to try. We also got to see the owner processing a jack fruit for his candies. Learning about the many local fruits that you otherwise wouldn't hear about or try on your own was a liked by all! Bonus 2: Sopes at Su Pancha Madre in San Pancho. This is a dish we have not seen in P.V. and to hear the story from the owner, Mar, about how and when he started this business and how he changed the traditional sope ingredients was amazing. On top of all this, he started the only International Sope Festival that attracts chefs from world-wide and grows each year. We were given a traditional sope, only eaten by Aztec kings, when they were first created. We were also given a meat sope with a very tender flat iron steak strips. Both were amazing! This is a must see/do trip for anyone visiting P.V.!

Vallarta Adventures WAY undersells this outing! It was superb! Our guide, "Chema" was a fount of information about the culture, history, native plants and other facts of the region. He played the native flute and conveyed "pride of place" and the warm and welcoming sensibility of local culture. Both he and the driver, Christian, were always friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food offerings were varied and tasty and the time--6 hours--was enough to tire us, but maybe just shy of what we would have liked. We will be back for more of these two special towns, San Francisco (Pancho) and Sayulita! Congrats to Vallarta Adventures!

Sayulita is a quaint beach town about 1 hour from Nuevo Vallarta. Great food and drinks on the beach at a reasonable price. Lots of shopping, restaurants and bars in town. Town area is only a block or two from the beach. Everything is within walking distance.

Really enjoyed the ECO Stop for lunch at ChuMuk! Go Compost and Recycling Team! Sayulita is busy but worth the stop - Surfer town. San Pancho was more chill - Yoga, Recycling and giving back to the community by helping single moms and creating a safe place for kids to grow and explore.

My husband and I went on tour with Fernanda and Christian. The ride was comfortable and we visited an exceptional outdoor market in San Pancho. We ate at a sope restaurant that was outstanding. We were then dropped off at Sayulita for an hour. The town is beautiful and bustling. Our ride home was smooth. Overall , 5 star experience

Another great tour from Villarta Adventures that I recommend. We went to 2 small towns that were awesome to check out. Breakfast was such a delight at Su Panche Madre in San Pancho where we had gourmet sopes. So delicious and loved the owner! So passionate! Sayulita was a great town to walk around in. Walked through the market, stopped for a drink - shopped a bit more. Glad we did the tour - we would definately go back for a day to spend more time. Our bus ride was great and very informative with our tour guide giving us more local culture.
